The play Romeo and Juliet is a true tragic love story were there were many death and many people to blame. Two kids each from a different family and the families have had a long feud. The two kids fall in love everything goes downhill plans get ruined and in the end they both commit suicide with they dying the two families end the feud. Friar Lawrence agrees to marry them hoping to end the feud but he warns Romeo and says “Wisely and slow. They stumble that run fast” (Shakespear 734 2.3.94). Friar Lawrence is trying to warn Romeo telling him to take is time, that he is going fast and should be wise about his choice. Romeo is responsible he was warned to not go with it but he still does without taking the time. Romeo just got done getting married to Juliet and Tybalt wants to fight Romeo. Mercutio does not let him fight and dies Romeo is angry kills Tybalt and says “O, I am fortune’s fool!”(3.1.134). Romeo is saying this because he knows he just did something bad and ruined everything if he have not done that things would have been different so he is responsible. Friar Lawrence should not have tried to help them and told them what to do he was the one who gave them the plans. In Romeo and Juliet the play, one might ask their self “Who’s fault would it be when Romeo and Juliet pass away?”. Some may say that it is fate since fate was against them since the beginning. Or some may blame Lord and Lady Capulet when they forced to marry Juliet to Paris, and Lady Capulet says “Speak briefly, can you like of Paris’ love?” (DBQ project: Who’s to Blame? Document B).
Is Romeo genuinely the one to blame for all the deaths that occur in Romeo and Juliet? Two teenagers (Romeo and Juliet), met at a party, and fell in love at first sight. They kissed and eventually married each other. People were killed and one of the teenagers (Romeo) was at fault for one of the deaths, and was supposed to be exiled. The other teenager (Juliet) took a potion to seemed dead for 42 hours, then was supposed to be saved by the other teenager, according to Friar’s “plan”.
The troubles that we witness in Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, is something that can not be blamed on one family. It has to be blamed on a single person. That person is Tybalt, nephew to Lady Capulet and cousin of Juliet. Tybalt did many things in order to “stir the pot” and cause unrest. For instance, Tybalt wants to kill Romeo at the ball held by the Capulets.

However due to their feuding families, Romeo being a Montague and Juliet a Capulet, their relationship must be kept in secret. And with this secret, the two entrust it with Friar Laurence, Romeo’s friend and advisor.
The Capulets and Montagues were not on good terms with each other. Unfortunately though, Romeo and Juliet fell in love with each other regardless if they are from opposing families. Because of these families bad relationship, Romeo and Juliet were forced to marry in secret instead of publicizing it. These two lovers could have been straight-forward to their parents about their marriage, but they choose not to. The Friar is also guilty to these lovers death, but he only thought that this relationship between Romeo and Juliet be the cure to their families grudge for each other.
Why did Romeo and Juliet have to end in such tragedy. Who is to blame when so many events shaped the outcome. It would make sense to say that it was the feud between the Capulets and the Montagues that is ultimately responsible. One could argue that it was Friar Lawrence and his deceitful plan that caused the tragedy. Another thought is that it is all on the messenger for not delivering the message to Romeo about the trick of Juliet's death.
