“Come child tell me your issues, God will forgive you for your sins.” Friar Lawrence and Friar John, the ones you go to for help. Or in this case the ones who will end your life. They have the ones who assisted in the suicide of Romeo and Juliet. The one who helped start this life taking mess. “For this alliance may so happy prove to turn your households’ rancor to pure love,”( Shakespeare page 411). Friar Lawrence believed that marrying Romeo and Juliet would change things between the feuding families. When Juliet came to him again, to deal with having to marry Paris. He realized the mistake he made in marrying romeo and Juliet, so he gave Juliet a potion that will put her in a comma. “...Take thou this vial, being then in bed, and this distilled …show more content…
“I could not send it-here it is again-nor get a messenger to bring it to thee,”(Shakespeare page 470). Friar John unable to hold up his part. All he had to do was send the letter to Romeo about Juliet not really being dead ad two lives would have been saved. He might not have played a big role, but he had an important job to do. They both are father like figures, that thought what they were doing was the right thing to do for the kids. Just like Marlin from Finding Nemo. “Nemo, don't move! Don't move!… Are you sure you wanna go to school this year? 'Cause there's no problem if you don't. You can wait 5 or 6 years,”(Finding Nemo) He was the over protective father who promised nothing would ever happen to his son. He thought that keeping him away from sticky situations was a good idea. Marlin, Friar John and Friar Lawrence all believed they knew what was best. If it wasn’t for the Friar’s the two children would still be alive and not married. Paris would still be alive. Sometimes taking things into your own hands and not thinking about the consequence is not a smart decision. They just looked at the small things it would change marrying Romeo and Juliet not the big picture. For future reference get more than one
In Andrew Stanton’s movie Finding Nemo, the contrasting environments of the coral reef and the open ocean accentuate Nemo’s conflict with his father, but ultimately provides them both with the opportunity to grow. Because Nemo’s mother dies from an attack that occurs when she is outside the safety of their sea anemone home, Nemo’s father, Marlon, is determined that Nemo, his only remaining relative, never put himself in danger by straying into the open ocean. Yet Marlon’s fear over his son leaving the security of the coral reef translates into him refusing to let Nemo grow and mature. Marlon’s debilitating fear over what lurks outside the coral reef is ultimately what pushes Nemo into taking the dramatic risk of touching the “butt.”
“O, Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?” ( Act 2, Scene 2,Line 33) This legendary quote is from the one and only book Romeo and Juliet by Williams Shakespeare. Romeo and Juliet is a book about lovers from opposing families. Their journey of love caused many deaths through the journey including theirs.
Nemo’s dad and Nemo begin to grow up without the mother, and their relationship got stronger because of this
Friar Laurence, making poor decisions, is largely responsible for the two star crossed lovers written by William Shakespeare in “Romeo and Juliet”. With great support of their secret love, he didn’t make rational decisions that could have improved the secrecy of their relationship. He hoped his decisions could make the greater good. By believing he could solve years-long of two royal families fighting just by marrying Romeo and Juliet is not logical. His intentions were good and no one may have had the same plan as him, but there were missteps, he overlooked.
The Friar is a wise character. The Friar agrees to marry Romeo and Juliet, yet after the marriage a bunch of things go wrong and so the two lovers are separated, but the Friar has plans to see them reunited. The Friar 's letter to Romeo is stayed because of the plague, yet this doesn 't stop Romeo from hearing about Juliet 's death. Romeo rushes to the Capulet tomb to be with his wife, but sadly she has already ¨passed away¨ Romeo takes his life and Juliet follows suit when she wakes, yet the Friar is helpless to stop the deaths.
Not only was he the one who wedded Juliet, but he gave her the potion that led to everyone thinking she was dead, including Romeo. All of these mistakes had easy fixes but the Friar just didn't want to fix anything, "The letter was not nice, but full of charge, and dear import; and the neglecting it May do much danger." (Act 5). Once again, there is an easy fix to this situation, but instead the Friar doesn't do anything about it. If he would have just found Romeo himself, Juliet and her husband would have been living it up in Mantua together.
Alarmed that she is preparing to kill herself, the Friar rushes to make a perilous potion. This was a bad idea since Romeo was uninformed and does not receive the letter from Friar John. Sending Friar John to deliver the letter by himself is a rash decision, when he should remember as Brian Gibbons points out that, “the rule of the Franciscan order forbade Friar John to travel without the company of another Friar.” If Friar Lawrence had simply gotten someone to accompany Friar John, the letter would get to Romeo, changing the end of the play's tragedy
Friar Lawrence asked this to John. Friar John could not deliver that letter because of an infection, the Black Plague. I don’t know why Lawrence didn’t just deliver the letter himself and not put his responsibilities on somebody else. He was just trying to help, but resulted in the death of Romeo, Juliet, and Paris. If Romeo would have got the letter, then he would have never gone and bought that poison and killed himself in the Capulet’s tomb.
There are several people that could be blamed for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet however, Friar Lawrence is the one who is truly to blame for Romeo and Juliet's deaths. He is most to blame out of all people for many obvious reasons. Friar Lawrence is most responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because he was the one who married the two lovers even though they weren't suppose to be married, gave Juliet this deadly potion, and he feels so guilty at the end which means he knows he's to blame. Friar Laurence was the wise adviser to Romeo and Juliet. He kept their secret and helped them be together.
Who is to blame for the tragic end of Romeo Montague and his lover, Juliet Capulet? In Romeo and Juliet, the characters are faced with an unrelenting series of unfortunate coincidences, which eventually lead to the demise of six characters. The blame could be placed on many characters in the story, including a priest, Juliet’s parents, and Romeo and Juliet themselves. Who is the most responsible? The majority of the blame can be narrowed down to Juliet, Friar Lawrence, and Fate.
As the story ran its course, Marlin discovered that by giving his son some freedom overall their relationship would be strengthened. Overall, Marlin’s journey has proved to have made a huge transformation in his life and in his relationship with his son. This truth present in Finding Nemo are universal and are often times truths of other movies and
Every day, people make rash decisions. These rash decisions bring about many unfortunate events, but rarely death. Because of Friar Lawrence’s immensely important role in Romeo and Juliet, Friar Lawrence’s rash decisions bring about many unfortunate events. In William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Friar Lawrence causes Romeo and Juliet to die a tragic death because of Friar Lawrence’s rashness and lack of good judgement. Friar Lawrence is primarily responsible for the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet because of his rash choice to marry the two teenagers.
In the play, Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare, two star crossed lovers are forced to take their lives. A series of misfortunate events cause the young couple to commit suicide for each other, but who could had lead them to this breaking point? Clues in the story cause the reader to think that Friar Lawrence is the one to blame. Friar Lawrence is a hypocrite, and defied virtues of a friar.
Friar Laurence is to blame as well because if he would have went and told Romeo personally about the plan which was to put Juliet to sleep for 42 hours and when she woke up Romeo was to be there at her side. If Friar Laurence wasn 't lazy Romeo 's death could have been avoided. Next, Friar Laurence would have went into the Monument with Juliet waiting for Romeo instead of showing up after; Romeo would have not assumed that Juliet was dead and then proceed to kill himself. Friar had the chance to fix the previous mistake of not talking to Romeo face to face. I say that because when he found out that the letter didn 't get to Romeo he should have went to the Tomb where Juliet was and sat there with her until she awakened and explained to her what happened and sat together waiting for
In result, Nemo gets taken away by a boat causing Marlin to have anxiety attacks and there begins the process of Finding Nemo. After watching the movie, one character that I thought made great significant in the movie was Marlin. He is face with the loss of a majority of his family, confrontation with death, and finds that what he truly wants in life is for his son to be okay. Marlin makes several changes throughout the
