A fact about love is that it can cause an increase in stress and cause poor judgment. Romeo and Juliet are good examples of this fact, as they fall in love and eventually make the decision of taking their own lives for each other in The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. Both Romeo and Juliet are responsible for their own deaths because they were spontaneous, a bit irresponsible, and they were hysterical. First and foremost, Romeo and Juliet were very spontaneous. For example, Right after the Capulet party they decided that they loved each other and declared it. Similarly, they didn’t even wait a full day of knowing each other to get married. Most couples are commonly together for at least 2 or more years before they even get engaged. In addition, Romeo had not even had a chance to think before he decided he was going to poison himself after he heard about Juliet’s “death”. Likewise, Juliet had just moments before she stabbed herself after seeing Romeo dead. …show more content…
To prove my point, Romeo sneaked up to see Juliet knowing that if the Capulet guards found him they would kill him. In addition, Juliet drank the potion that Friar Laurence gave her with only little doubt. That potion could have been poison, but Juliet drank it anyway. Likewise, Romeo drank a poison without any doubt at all. To illustrate once more, Romeo had two dreams that warned him of danger. The first one was for Romeo to not go to the party. The second and last dream Romeo had was a dream that Juliet woke to find him dead. Instead of thinking about the dreams, Romeo went to the party, and he ignored the
Romeo escalated his relationship with Juliet too quickly. When Romeo first lays eyes on Juliet he forgets all of his love for others and is drawn towards her. After knowing her for less than a day he gets Friar Lawrence to marry them, which was suggested to be bad for a relationship to move that quickly. Also, Romeo's judgment caused his death because of his rage towards Tybalt when he kills Mercutio, Romeo is devoid of better judgment and kills Tybalt, which causes his exile and creates even move problems. When Romeo finds out that Juliet has "died" he acts quickly and reacts towards the news by buying poison.
In act two scene two, Romeo was not in a hurry and he told Benevilio that “...it is too rash, too unadvised, too sudden…” (Shakespeare 2.2.119). Their love is moving at a fast and furious pace which builds until Romeo finds himself the murderer of Tybalt without really meaning to be, and Juliet fakes her own death rather than marry Paris as her father decrees. They didn’t consult their parents (probably since they fear what their parents would say) they ended up dead because they everything where unadvised and sudden. Romeo was saying that there dreams can come truly that “is Rosaline, that then did not love so clear for shaken?
“Is will disperse itself through all the veins” (V.I.61). When he arrived at the grave, he found Juliet. He said his goodbyes, wasted no time and drank the poison, causing an instantaneous death. If Romeo had
Blame is a very strong word, Its even so strong in the tragic death of Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet were two young teenagers in the play of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. They loved each other very much, even so that it brought about their deaths caused by their own choices and decisions. In this story many people are to blame and are involved in their tragic deaths. No one is more at blame than Romeo and Juliet themselves, they were responsible for their own life's end.
A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life, all because of their families’ hatred of each other. Romeo and Juliet were in love, but their love could not be expressed because of their parents. While Lord and Lady Montague were also bad parents, the worst were the ones that raised Juliet, Lord and Lady Capulet. The Capulets abused their daughter, forced her to be in a relationship, and did not let her be happy. Romeo and Juliet would not have died if it were not for the parents of Juliet.
Despite the popular belief in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet shared by both characters and readers that fate kills Romeo and Juliet, the real villain of the play is Friar Laurence. The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is the devastating love story of two children whose irrational decisions and lack of trustworthy mentors lead to their unnecessary deaths. In Shakespeare's tragedy, Friar Laurence causes Romeo and Juliet to die an untimely death because he acts solely for his own benefit, and he is reckless and irresponsible with how he handles the prevention of the young lover’s intense feelings leading to something drastic. Friar Laurence is a major contributor to Romeo and Juliet’s ultimate demise because of how his actions while masked under
Are our futures led by fate or are they led by the decisions we make? In William Shakespeare’s play, "The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet", a pair of star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet, take their lives. Their choices led to many deaths and destructions. Romeo and Juliet ended their lives and should be blamed, but so should the Nurse and Friar Lawrence. I think that Romeo and Juliet contributed to their own deaths because they didn’t make good decisions and were very impulsive.
Who is responsible for the death of Romeo and Juliet? When anything wrong happens, you look for the blame. In most situations, one person, but that is not the case in "Romeo and Juliet", a tragedy by Shakespeare. Romeo and Juliet face many problems as they fall in love. But all goes wrong when Juliet is forced to marry Paris instead of her love, Romeo.
For most instances of life, the bystander is the innocent one but, this is not the case for Romeo in Shakespeare's famous 1597 tragedy Romeo & Juliet. Romeo the son of the Montagues, a family of nobility is a passionate and fool-hardy young man in search of love. In search of finding a lady he attends a ball uninvited and angers Tybalt the nephew of a lord of a rival house. Eventually, Mercutio, a companion of Romeo, comes to blows with Tybalt over Romero’s honor and name. In Romeo and Juliet, the one ultimately responsible for the deaths of Mercutio and Tybalt is Romeo, because he should not have attended the ball, Romeo did not do enough to prevent Mercutio from fighting and he did not do enough to save him, finally that Romeo had killed Tybalt in a blind fit of rage.
This quote also foreshadows the mistakes the couple make as they make impetuous decisions without thinking things through. It shows that Romeo and Juliet are responsible for their own deaths because they made major steps in their relationship in an accelerated manner. The relationship literally spans over five days, from not knowing each other, and then deciding to marry, mainly because of looks. They also both killed themselves because they believed they could not live without each other. When Juliet goes to the friar to beg for help, she has already resolved that she would harm herself without a solution from the Friar.

I believe that Friar Lawrence and Romeo are responsible for Romeo and Juliets death. Some people say that the family feud and the nurse were responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s death.
“Come child tell me your issues, God will forgive you for your sins.” Friar Lawrence and Friar John, the ones you go to for help. Or in this case the ones who will end your life. They have the ones who assisted in the suicide of Romeo and Juliet.

Their own choice is displayed in their romantic first sight of each other, their secret marriage and their tragic deaths.
