“Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die.” Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy play, written by Wiliam Shakespear. In Romeo and Juliet, the two lovers want to get married, but the feud between their families makes it almost impossible. Juliet devises a plan to allow them to get married but has poor communication. Juliet's poor communication eventually resulted in both of their suicides . Romeo and Juliet should take the blame for their own deaths. People might think the lover's deaths were because of a family feud. People might think this because this didn’t allow them to get married in the first place. However, they are wrong because they would have gotten married no matter what. The family feud added to the problem, but Romeo's banishment is …show more content…
Romeo's impatience is the first reason. He barely knew Juliet yet he wanted to marry her in a few days. If he had waited the relationship could have been more healthy. Their marriage could have possibly resulted in an ending of the family feud because the family's reaction could have been positive and not negative. The second reason is that Romeo killed Tybalt. Tybalt accidentally killed Mercutio which made Romeo furious. He then found Tybalt and killed him to get revenge. This is a big reason Romeo and Juliet ended up dead because this made Romeo banished from Verona. Once Romeo got banished Juliet became very sad and started creating a plan to get with him again. Her scheme eventually failed and ended up being the reason they both died. “Is crimson thy lips and in thy cheeks, And death’s pale flag is not advanced there.”(pg 901). In this quote, Romeo notices that Juliet looks like she is still alive. Romeo takes no effort to inspect further nor does he doubt her death at all, Romeo simply ignores this detail. If Romeo waited a little longer and inspected Juliet's condition they would both be alive because Juliet was about to wake up. Neither of the lovers made smart
Romeo and Juliet’s deaths were not just one person’s fault; many people contributed to how they ended up dying. Even though these people did not kill them physically, they are still a part of the reason they died. The person who contributed to this matter but still did not have much effect was the nurse; she talked badly about Romeo, which set off Juliet. The next person who was most at fault but not the most was Tybalt; he caused a scene with Romeo, which started the whole Romeo leaving situation. The person who was most at fault was Friar Lawrence; even though he married them and wanted the best for them, he was still a big part of the reason they died.
When the two lovers find out that they can’t be together they end up killing themselves. The nurse and Friar Laurence are ultimately responsible for the death of Romeo and Juliet. Some people may say that Romeo and Juliet are responsible for their own deaths. There are many reasons why someone may say this. First, people may believe that Romeo and Juliet rushed their relationship because you can’t truly fall in love in a few days.
After Tybalt kills Mercutio, Romeo becomes enraged and kills Tybalt in revenge. This leads to Romeo's banishment, which in turn leads to Juliet's plan to fake her own death. If Tybalt had not killed Mercutio, none of these events would have taken place, and Romeo and Juliet
From the time Romeo and Juliet meet to their deaths, there are a great many misunderstandings and disappointments. When Romeo and Juliet met at the Capulet party, they were unaware of each other being related to their family’s enemy. Once they became aware of one another’s relations, they were already too in love with each other to stay away (Shakespeare I.5.135-140). They then still continued to see one another. This would be where the lovers could be to blame.
Friar Lawrence wanted to marry them because he thought their marriage could end the rivalry between The Capulets and The Montagues, but that’s where everything turned around. A couple of days after Romeo & Juliet got married, there was a fight on the streets of Verona. Tybalt started the battle by attacking Mercutio. Romeo got in the way, trying to stop it,
Romeo does not want Tybalt to die since he had recently become a relative of his and especially does not want Mercutio to die as he was one of Romeo closest friends. Romeo tries stopping the fight between
If Romeo decided to get more information or talk to Friar he would have realized that Juliet didn't actually die. Juliet was heartbroken and took her own life, because Romeo took his life. Romeo made a poor choice by believing that Juliet died without figuring anything out for
Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die.” (Shakespeare V.III. 119-120). Romeo is blind to everything else when it comes to Juliet.
I am not responsible for Romeo and Juliet's deaths! No decisions or actions Romeo and Juliet made were my own. Romeo, however, is responsible for both Juliet's and his own deaths. Because Romeo also doesn’t think about the consequences of his actions before making a decision. This is because Romeo chose to kill himself without thinking it through.
The third reason is that Juliet would have never faked her death if Romeo was never banished. The first reason Tybalt is to blame for the death of the two lovers is that he picked a fight with Mercutio. Mercutio and Romeo
This led to fighting between the houses, and eventually Tybalt’s death and the banishment of Romeo. After that, Romeo and Juliet felt that they couldn’t be apart so they decided to run away. Because of miscommunication, Romeo, Juliet, and many others ended up dead. Their love
(Rom. 1. 1) In this quote we see how Romeo expresses his love, even though he only just met Juliet that same night. With this, the couple’s secret marriage and relationship didn’t help the problem out because it made it difficult for them to talk to each other and really get to know each other before getting married. These actions are a key reason for the deaths of so many of the characters in the story. Secondly, when Romeo killed Tybalt, it set off a chain of events that lead to the death of Romeo and Juliet.
Romeo killed Tybalt because of the curse of hate. Romeo killing Tybalt lead to getting himself kicked out of the city. Since Juliet couldn't get to him, she needed a plan, which a man named Friar Lawrence hatched. He would give Juliet a potion that makes her look dead but she isn't and he would send Romeo a letter to let him know that she isn't. Unfortunately, he didn't get the letter and assumed Juliet was dead and killed himself because of it.
The long standing-family feuding and fate is ultimately to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s deaths. Some people may think that Romeo and Juliet are ultimately to blame for their own deaths, because they both killed themselves. They are wrong, the
Your counterclaim paragraph goes here: On the other hand, they may argue that Romeo and Juliet Romeo and Juliet chose to hide their love from their families instead of reveal it. The only reason that they didn’t tell their families is because they were in a blood feud. They are both and they are married to the enemies of their families. The only reason why he bought the poison was because of his friend telling him the Juliet is dead. If he never told Romeo then none of it would have happened.
