Have you ever met 2 teenagers who fell in love, got married then killed themselves all in 5 days? Romeo and Juliet are 2 young teenagers who both are in love, the only problem is that they come from 2 families that have a lot of hate for each other. Eventually, Romeo and Juliet both kill themselves at the very end after foolish decisions on both of their behalf. In the article “Who can be blamed for the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet” by Max Radlicz, Radlicz made it clear that 3 people could be blamed for the death of Romeo and Juliet, this is false. In the article by Radlicz, he stated how three people can be blamed for the death of Romeo and Juliet, and although he does say Romeo is responsible for both of their deaths, this is simply incorrect. …show more content…

This claim is both true, and false at the same time. Friar could’ve sent more servants to Romeo to alert him and Romeo could’ve made smarter decisions. Romeo did not make any better decisions in the book either, he had multiple choices and he decided to go with some rather questionable choices that led to his death. When Romeo was alerted that Juliet had “died” he acted with his heart and not his mind, he immediately set off to get poison just so that he could die with Juliet without even hesitating. And although he was supposed to get the letter from Friar Laurence, Romeo could have gone about this better so that both of them would still be alive right now. When Romeo went into the store to buy poison, he had no second thoughts, no hesitation and it just shows how immature he is by saying “Come, cordial and not poison, go with me To Juliet's grave, for there must I use thee.” (Shakespeare 5.1.89-90). This decision was 100% on Romeo, where his immaturity got the better of him, leading to the death of Romeo and Juliet. If Romeo were to just wait literally a few more hours, then Friar would have been able to let him know the plan, and then they would have been able to live happily ever after.
