These days there are several different animal breeds in zoos for people to look at. They are all over the world, some are in good conditions and the animals are treated well, but then there ´s the ones that are opposite of that. Are these zoos really necessary for the well being of the animals, or is it just cruel capturing them and closing them in much smaller places than what they should have and letting them be abused? Every kind of animal is ready there to just be looked and used as an entertainment in zoos. Some animals have a big environment around them, but what about the animals stuck in the less fortunate countries with little money to support what every breeds requires and needs in order to survive and live a satisfied life? There are more of those than the other. Especially if you go to vacation on a holiday and decide to visit a zoo for fun in the small town. You can see right away that the animals are not living in the conditions they need to be in. They are …show more content…
This terrible abuse happens often in these smaller zoos. The handlers aren’t actually educated in the way they should with how to treat them. People aren’t doing anything about it because they decide they just want to go and have fun watching them and then leave with no after thought. Do these creatures deserve this kind of manhandling and suffering in their life with no consequences for the humans that commit this crime? This kind of abuse also happens in the way that they don’t get treatment with their health, whether it’ a wound, infection or if they are underweight. The animals are left to deal with the pain themselves with little or no help from the people handling them. Some eventually die from the extends of the injury and can’t take it
He concluds that most of the zoos show lack of care.
There should not be zoos. Thousand of animals every year struggle with the same problem, being locked up. Although this may seem like a questionable argument, this is a major problem in this world and it needs to be fixed now. In this essay there should not be zoos because they make animals unhealthy, they treat animals badly, and animals are better off in the wild.
This proves to be significant because although some say zoos are educational they prove of no worth to the amount of information we as humans obtain. Also when children see how these animals were taken out of their natural habitats and put in synthetic homes it can damage the kids. For instance, there have been cases of bacterial infections that could possibly put the children and adult sin danger. On example of this is e. coli bacteria which can be found in some reptiles areas in the zoo. If people make contact with these animals they can catch this sickness which can lead to potential death.
Zoos have always been something that families love and kids look forward to going to. Kids learn about the animals and the habitats and enjoy the entertainment. It is a great experience for people, but not for the animals. Zoos are downright cruel to Animals. Animals our forced to live in an unreal stressful, and boring conditions.
Animal cruelty is becoming an issue that is too big to ignore. It can be defined as neglect or the infliction of pain or suffering towards animals. One might notice that this is an issue that is becoming more common in zoos and aquariums. These places can be wonderful for the animals, but can also portray an awful life for the captive animals. No animal should have to go through the pain and stress that many are suffering through.
This argument is split into three main viewpoints, the opinion that zoos harm animals, the opinion that zoos save endangered species, and a mix between the two. Viewpoint number three is more of a critique how zoos are good places where bad things happen and should be reformed. Each option has its own individual pros and cons but a reform of zoos and their standards would be the most economical for zoos and aquariums and this method would also be the least harmful and less stressful for the animals involved. The care and wellbeing of the animals involved should be the number one priority of all groups and by cutting back on over breeding, the phasing out of lager animals that naturally roam large distances, and creating environments that’s sole purpose is to educate people, zoos can become a better place for people and animals
This is exactly how animals held captive in zoos and sea-parks feel. Zoos generally hold a variety of animals for public display, also known as “zoological parks.” On the other hand, sea-parks, hold fish and amphibians. These parks that exhibit animals are inhumane and barbaric. Vulnerable creatures are being abused daily and few seem to care about this issue.
To start, Zoos make animals in confinement hurt each other. According to Spanishzoos.org animals hurt each other. when they are in confinement together. This is bad because if the animals hurt each other they could kill each other or severely injure each other. animals even get ill because of zoos.(Spanishzoos.org).
Oh no you have just been shot by a tranquilizer dart and you 're put in a truck and you never see your friends and family ever again. Well that 's what happens when animals go to zoos. Zoos are harmful to animals. To begin with, Animals aren 't getting the right diet when they live in zoos. Also, animals are not getting the right amount of space.
The question of the necessity of zoos is extremely controversial nowadays. There are many people who advocate for replacing them with sanctuaries as they believe money spent on keeping wild animals captive might have been used for conserving them in wild. Others are concerned that zoos serve not only for people's pleasure but for preserving and keeping populations that otherwise would go extinct. There are sufficient arguments for both points of view, expressed in various articles that are dedicated to the significant topic. “Do elephants belong in zoos?” by Jeffrey P. Cohn and “Eight reasons why zoos are good for conservation” by James Borrell are the examples of such articles.
Zoos are places where animals are put on displays and where they have to live their entire life. People can visit zoos for money and watch animals like they are in some kind of television show or commercial program what is done for people only. People have to notice that zoos are not people entertainment. It is seems like animals in zoos should be free and live in wildlife where they belong.
People say that zoos are important for education and are a great way for people to learn about exotic animals (Agnew n.p). Researchers cannot learn as much when animals are captive, you can learn just as much or even more while they are in their natural habitat. While some believe that zoos are important for education, they also believe that zoos are necessary for the survival of species (Zoos n.p). Most zoos claim that they take in extinct and needy animals, most animals at zoos aren’t orphaned, extinct, or injured at all (Zoos n.p). Lastly, one big claim is that zoos help conservation of animals (Borrel n.p).
Rights are against the use of force and they are our primary if not only our means of survival. There is only one fundamental right: To live successfully, a man has to make his own choices as well as animals too (Roleff,2014,p.33). There is a huge difference between giving animals their rights which is less than human beings and not to give them rights at all. Nowadays animals are presented in many places of entertainment such as zoos and cruces as well as aquariums where the audients pay a lot of cash to watch fun and exciting things going on, it sure makes us happy but what about the animals are they happy too? Are places of entertainment appropriate for wild animals to live in it normally?
For example in kids stand up to zoos in captivity states animals are getting too expensive to feed so the zookeeper's just wait for somebody to notice and sell them to another zoo. This shows that having too much animals can harm the animals and make them starve to death and even the whole zoo. Some even sell them to another zoo even if there is family or friends. Now you might say this is a good thing selling them to have a better home, but is it really a better home or is it a bad zoo who needs animals to get visitors. I say any zoo is bad for animals.
Zoos have been around since the eighteenth century. A zoo is defined as a compound where wild animals are kept for viewing and studying. The purpose of a zoo is mainly for education and protection, preserving animal species that are either at a risk of becoming extinct or for increased collection size (Jamieson). Animals from around the world have been enclosed in an area where we can admire and study these fine creatures. However, many modern zoos around the world have introduced animal shows, petting and feeding sessions to attract more visitors in order to earn more money.
