Why are there poor countries?
Poverty is when people cannot satisfy their basic needs, such as food and water. This gives us an idea of how bad their situation can lead to. Imagine people your age not having a place to live in, so they just sleep wherever they can, or imagine that children are sleeping with empty stomachs, almost starving, while you have so much food that you can’t even choose which one to eat now and which one to keep for later.
There are many factors that make a country poor. Some factors are caused by the people who live in that country, while other factors are due to the actual resources the country has, the economy of the country, and even inequality. Another factor that could have a great impact on poverty could be the physical disasters, even though they …show more content…

There is lack of education due to the fact that the government doesn’t have enough money to build schools for children to learn and get rid of poverty. Almost 70 million children across the world are prevented from going to school each day and the world’s poorest country according to the education systems is Somalia, which has the least functional system in the world with just 10% of children going to primary school. (Shepherd, 2010) If children won’t have education form a young age, then how will they be able to fight poverty? With no education, there is no knowledge, which leads directly to no qualifications and no future ahead. In this way, they can’t find a job in order to earn at least the amount of money needed for shelter, food and water, and without a job they will remain in poverty until they eventually die. However, their children will continue the same path and the same routine, and so on. In this way, poverty will always be there, and the people who are trapped in it will never be able to
