In 1994 there was a man who went on trial for murder, his name was O.J. Simpson. He was on trial for the death of his ex-wife and a friend of hers. The two were found stabbed to death, O.J. was then put on trial for two accounts of first degree murder. He was found innocent of a technicality. This relates to the story “The Bargain” where a man commits murder but is never put on trial and therefore he never was able to account for his crime. The man Mr.Baumer killed Slade and got away with it. The only difference between the two is that law enforcement was really bad back in the days of the west and people didn't do extensive investigations. Now, why and how did Baumer kill Slade, first of all he had the motive,as well as the intelligence, and the opportunity to commit the crime. Let start talking about Mr.baumer's motive to kill slade. Baumber had ordered a barrel of Wood Alcohol and on the barrel it read DEADLY POISON, slade couldn't read so he wouldn't know that. The barrel look like a liquor barrel but in all reality it was poison. With slade employed under him and baumer having his trust this was his opportunity to execute the plan. Introduction The book that I selected is called “Getting Life” by Michael Morton, who is a man that was wrongfully convicted of killing his wife in Texas in 1986. This book takes us from a happy young couple to the day of the murder, through the investigation into his wife’s murder, Michael’s trial and conviction, 25 years in prison, appeals, release from prison, and reintegration into society. One unique fact about this case is that is the first case where the prosecutor in a wrongful conviction case was subsequently convicted of prosecutorial misconduct, stripped of their law license and sentenced to serve time in jail.
From the day he was arrested, Towler had disclosed to different people that Stone deserved to die. The evidence given by Burkhart shows that Towler was ready to kill Stone and incase he was denied bail; he would get someone to do the job. This declared intention by an accused amount to a motive to commit a crime (Turvey, 2008). To him, Stones deserved to die for being a snitch and for setting him

People have accused Mr.Baumer of killing Slade, although he was nowhere near Slade when his death occurred. There is almost no way for Mr. Baumer to have murdered Slade. Mr. Baumer is a terrific person who has only done what is best for this town. Slade is not only considered a horrible person, he is a criminal. Even if Slade was to die from drinking the poison, it was Slade's fault for stealing it in the first place.
He sent one of his workers to the saloon. “Slade was at the saloon, o’ course, and says to hell with Dutchie, but I told him this was an honest-to-God business, like Baumer had told me to, and there was a quart of whiskey right there in the store for him if, he’d come and get it.” Slade never made it back from this Freight Run Alive. Baumer had ordered “Word Alcohol--Deadly Poison” instead of his usual whiskey order. Slade drank it and died because the kegs looked the same, and he couldn’t read the warning label because he was
Mr. Baumer is responsible for Slades death because when Al, a part time worker in Mr. Baumers store, discovers poison that Mr. Baumber planted in his freight, that killed

A Criminal with Justice in his Name Dennis Rader, also known as the BTK killer, murdered ten people from 1974 to 1991. Justice Wargrave can be labeled as the BTK killer of And Then There Were None: a man with an appetite for bloodlust. Although the motives of the BTK killer are still unknown, we do know Justice’s motive: unpunished criminals obtaining the reprimands they deserve. And have many mistakes to see that he was the killer, but still say that he was not guilty, and let him walk free. As it started out with the murder of Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman on June 13, 1994. As LAPD convicted O.J simpson for the murder, as the trial lasted for 10 months of arguments and disagreements, and where there was so many evidence of O.J that led him to be the killer of Nicole Simpson, and as October 3, 1995 he was found not guilty of the murder. But didn’t stop him to be a criminal and was sentence to jail for his behavior. As this trial showed us, the issues of law enforcement that still exist in our country, as this trial will be remembered for it creating a greater awareness of domestic violence issues, and a lessons of how the trial system work, for a criminal to be innocent tell the juries have proof that he was guilty.
