Why Did George Made The Right Decision

While people think George made the wrong decision in the end. I personally think George made the right decision because he saved Lennie from knowing what was going to happen, George made it so Lennie went happy and quick without any suffering. I’m going to be talking about my reasoning on why I think he made the right decision for example George didn’t want Lennie to cause any more harm, the Lynch mob would’ve done worse to Lennie like torcher him, and George had no life his life was revolved around Lennie.

My first reason is that George didn’t want Lennie to cause any more harm. Lennie is Autistic which makes it difficult for him to understand social communication and interaction. He also has poor self-awareness making him not know his own strength, because of that at the start he kills a mouse by petting it too hard, when the puppy bit him he smacked the dog too hard, and Curley's wife, Lennie went to touch hair because it was soft, but it frightened her causing Lennie to become scared when she started screaming. Even though Lennie didn’t know what he was doing and didn’t mean to do it, it would probably happen again putting Lennie and others in danger.

The reason for Lynching is to terrorize, and control. Lynch mobs are groups of people who try to kill or kill someone illegally as a punishment for their crime. Curley was the leader of the mob, and they were after Lennie for killing Curley’s wife. Lennie was already rejected by everyone at the ranch except for George because of his disability, no one saw him as a good worker. As a result, the mob wouldn’t have given Lennie or George time to explain or apologize, they wanted him dead that day. Lennie would have suffered and probably been beaten by the mob if it weren’t for
