Why did God create man?
God created us to first relate in fellowship with Him. The second level of relationship is between man and his fellow human beings. Shall we now take a closer look at the two levels of relationship?
He created us to relate with Him
Our foremost relationship is with God. This relationship is so important that without it, things usually fall apart. We have to remember that God created us for Himself. He created us so that we could give Him pleasure. He created us so that He could relate with us. It is so sad to say that many of us enjoy the created things instead of the Creator. We fall in love with the resources and become ensnared by them instead of connecting with the source Himself, who created these things. Many …show more content…

That in itself is not a bad thing. Exercising or going to the gym is good, but this should not be done at the expense of developing the real you, which is your spirit. The spirit is the part of you that is recreated when you accept Jesus. Look at the time and money spent beautifying the body and eating good food. According to the latest available data on the Internet, people living in America collectively spent a whopping $11 billion last year on facelifts, Botox injections, breast augmentations, and various other services that were purely aesthetic.
We spend a lot of time and money developing our intellect, which is necessary. We have devoted much time to scholastic issues. We have even gone to the moon by virtue of our ability to educate our minds. Can we say the same thing about our spirits? How much time and money do we spend to educate our spirits? Consider the imbalance – since the spirit is the most important of all.
Real satisfaction cannot be found in material things. Man is a spiritual being, and his true satisfaction can only be found in his Creator. Nothing man accomplishes in life will satisfy him. No, it won’t. The only guaranteed and lasting satisfaction in life is through Jesus Christ, our
