The Louisiana purchase was a “watershed” event. This purchase nearly doubled the land mass of a new nation. We got this area from France in 1803. We purchased the Louisiana territory for 15 million dollars and increased in size by 828,000 square miles stretching from the Mississippi River to the Rocky Mountains. In 1802 Jefferson predicted that Spain would retrocede to France, the vast area of Louisiana. From the deal that was made 15 states were eventually created. Since France was so slow at making the Louisiana area a slave area they asked the US if we wanted to purchase all if the Louisiana Area. 9 years after the US purchased Louisiana, the first state to be created was Louisiana

The Japanese attack occurred at the Pearl Harbor naval base in Hawaii. In late 194l, President Roosevelt banned the sale of oil and other war materials to Japan in an attempt to end Japanese aggression in the Pacific. Japan’s leaders were angered by this embargo and chose to confront the United States in order to lift the oil embargo and continue their reign of terror in the South Pacific. The attack is what led the U.S.

As soon as Japan sees that they had stopped trades with them and were limiting rights to the Japanese it gave them a shock and from then they knew they must get revenge. The Japanese have had a plan to take over the world but they had countries in the way that were stronger but soon the US started to back away from the Japanese. So why did Japan attack Pearl Harbor? Japan cannot get to take over the world with the US embargo on materials and the naval expansion act.
One day that will always be remembered by America is the date of December 7, 1941, which changed American history forever. December 7, 1941 was the day the Japanese warplanes attacked Pearl Harbor (Hawaii) which stationed many of American ships and airfields. Immediately after the bombings, United States President Franklin Roosevelt declared war on Japan, leading to a direct involvement into World War ll. Japan had many reason to do so but Japan attacked Pearl harbor for three reasons which were that they had a plan for a new world order, United States were expanding their number of naval ships rapidly, and an oil embargo was placed upon Japan
One reason was the fact that the United States began an embargo on Japan, ending the trade of Japanese weapons. This limited Japan from obtaining more resources in their expansion. Another reason was that Japan needed oil to help keep expanding and raise their economy. The U.S. Navy was in their way, by controlling the Philippines, which is why they thought they needed to get rid of them. Lastly, both Japan and the U.S. did not agree on each other’s ways of running government. Japan wanted to expand more and keep on attacking more people, while the U.S. had a different view on expansionism. The U.S. did not support Japan in their expanding, leading to Japan fearing of losing strength and power. These are the reasons that Japan attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7th,
The attack on Pearl Harbor was in fact a terrorist attack. The Imperial Japanese Navy against the US Naval base. This later led to the US to World War II. (Hanson, V.wnd) After 2 years of their conflict the US begins world war II. The war was belligerent.
The United States and Japan fought in World War II during 1941 to 1945. Japan planned to expand their land and gain resources- which led them to invade China whom was an ally of the U.S. In result, the United States cut off the supply of oil to Japan. On December 7th 1941, Japan’s air force did a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor because that is where their military base is located. Afterwards, the United States declared war on Japan, and joined allies against the axis powers. The United States’ use of the atomic bombs is justified because it saved American lives; Japan was given fair warning, and their aggressions towards the U.S.
Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor is by far one of America’s most remembered events in history. On December 7, 1941, the Japanese dropped bombs on the American base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. This attack is what persuaded President Franklin Roosevelt to join World War 2 and fight on two fronts. Japan attacked Pearl Harbor for many reasons. They attacked because they believed they would create a New World Order, they felt threatened by America and because of the oil embargo.
First, on December 7, 1941 one the of the nation’s largest naval bases stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii called Pearl Harbor was attacked by surprise by the Japanese in hope of eliminating a large amount of our fleets so Japan could expand. The Japanese destroyed almost 20 American naval vessels, including eight huge battleships, and more than 300 airplanes. More than
The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was necessary in order for Japan to surrender, save American lives, and keep the Soviet Union from expanding its influence in Asia. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, the U.S. held a conference in which they made it official that they were at war with Japan and ready to strike back as soon as possible. The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki made the Japanese realize that they couldn’t afford another fatal bombing and cause innocent people to die again so shortly after the bombing, they surrendered to the United States.
Japan attacked the U.S. because we had the power to block Japan’s expansion into Asia. We also stopped trade with them; which led to Japan attacking the U.S. Japan attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Their plans started in October 1941; when they attacked Pearl Harbor it was by surprise. During Pearl Harbor, Japan sent 350 Aircraft and 33 ships against the U.S. The USS Arizona and the USS Missouri were destroyed. My maternal great-grandfather was one of the original Navy Seals in WWll; if Pearl Harbor had never happened, I may not even exist. Imagine what the world would be like if Pearl Harbor had never
