The historical figure I admire the most is Joan of Arc. The reason I find her so admirable is that she despite her gender and what people thought about women in the 1400’s, she managed to lead an entire army into battle and win several of them as a commander. She was not afraid to stand up for what she believed in and was very determined to save her people. She also took a lot of risks that could have cost her her life by disguising herself as a man in order to be taken seriously and respected by others. Even after she was captured by the enemy and found out by her fellow soldiers who regarded her as a very courageous woman.
