Why Do Pro Athletes Get Overpaid

College athletes put in a lot of time, effort, and work into the sport they’ve played since they were young, but they aren’t getting paid for it. These student athletes deserve to be paid because they put in countless hours of hard work and balance sports with school work. The first reason athletes in college do deserve to be compensated is because they don 't have time to fit in work with a school and athletic schedule.

Wouldn’t it be nice to earn millions of dollars to play a sport for fun? Being a professional athlete is something almost everybody has dreamed about and only a modest percentage have achieved. Sports are part of everyday life for most people in the country and millions of people idolize the players. Professional athletes are making over and above what they deserve. this money should be given to doctors and the armed forces. People’s salaries should be based on the job’s economic importance and value to society not based on their talent and ability to play a sport.

Many people strongly disagree with pro athletes getting paid 10 times as much as doctors, teachers, and firefighters who risk their lives every single day. On the other hand, many people believe that athletes deserve their salaries they earn. I feel this way because for what they are doing does not compare to the rest of the careers for the country.

So many jobs that are very important don’t get paid as much and that money can go towards better causes. But these are only some of the reasons that pro athletes get paid too much.

They have a huge salary because everyone loves to watch them and what they do. Although, it is fair for them to have such a high salary? It is definitely fine for professional athletes and entertainers to have high salaries because they are very entertaining to watch and pay attention to, they put lots of time and effort into their work, and they're really talented and know what their doing.

I do not think pro athletes deserve such high compensation because it cause prices of tickets, to be high, merchandise and stadium food is costly and if the athletic gets hurt and can’t play they still collect high salaries.
