Cameras which are put everywhere for example streets, malls, hallways, cafeterias and are now wanting to be place in classroom with teachers as in the form of a body camera. But why would you allow yourself to be recorded without any permission or consent especially when asked about personal and concerning information about yourself or even others. They plan to use these body cameras as a way of helping teachers to tackle low-level disorder in classrooms. Yet with cameras how will students be able to open up and connect with theirs teachers or their peers without being recorded and seen as a suspect rather than an educated student. Also why would we needs these so called cameras when most students when asked to be photographed would not like to be in the picture mainly because they seem as if they 're going to be shown to everyone and be criticised. That is why i am in negotiation of this bill to protect teachers and students with the use of a body camera in a educated environment. To start off ,body cameras which are able to stop many students and teachers relationships main reason why is because …show more content…
Ordinarily, body cams filming occurs only when it is “legitimate, proportionate and necessary”, according to Ellis, and it is intended to be “incident specific” rather than continuous surveillance. Meaning these body cams don 't need to capture everything that takes place then why would the government waste thousand of dollars on it.Dr Mary Bousted, general secretary at the Association of Teachers and Lecturers said: “If schools have good behaviour policies they should not have to resort to using body cameras.” which is extremely right because body cams are not useful with running every second to understand how things took although as i stated before that are not meant to only for incident purposes but ask yourself how do you know when an incident may take place….. You don 't it just instincts that will come into play to bring that problem to the end not the use of a body
Police body cameras Police body cameras are a type of video recording system, which used by law enforcement to record their behavior with the people, and also known to increase both police officers and citizens liability. One of the causes that made body cameras almost mandatory was police brutality against citizens, and especially black people. The other cause is just the inconsistency what the police says, and what the people say, why always people should think that the police officer is telling the truth.
Officer would not want to be considered a bad officer so to protect them from that coming out a body camera would show their character of what type of police officer he/she is. The shooting of Michael Brown brought a lot of anger against the police department because people felt like a justice was not done correctly (nytime.com). The evidence showed that the officer was doing his job correctly but since there was no actual recording of the situation people did not want to believe it. The body camera is a way to prevent anger of waves for the public to come against the police
It’s no secret that everyone holds their own opinion regarding the actions of police officers and other positions of authority within these past years, be it positive or negative. From the shootings of innocent and unarmed civilians to disciplinary action being taken against those that haven’t done anything unlawful, there’s rarely a day when the police force of the United States doesn’t find itself involved in some sort of controversy. No matter what side people find themselves supporting in these instances, be it the police or the civilian, it’s true that both sides can benefit from the use of these police body cameras. Police body cameras hold one main purpose and that’s to deteriorate the ever-present risk of unnecessary aggression on
Opponents of having all police officers wear body cameras cite privacy concerns, especially if the video recordings are made part of the public record. As stated in Source 3 “The Right Body Camera Policy” it states that “the critic’s main objection to the policy is that it will promote dishonest reporting.” For example, Officers that is feared , will tailor their reports to fit the captured images, revealing only what could not be plausibly denied and leaving out other important details. Even when the video footage reveals unambiguous misconduct, officers would be foolish to file dishonest reports. It's important to consider the detrimental consequences of depriving police officers of video that contains information directly pertinent to their fate.
First, is letting the community know what the police are doing. Another, to find truth or false statements or accusations. First, of all, body cameras can show the community what the police are doing. First, if the community wants to know what the police are doing, body cameras are a great way to show it.
By helping to make this a law, you can help them get the facts right. You can help save others who might fall victim as well. Having police wear cameras can help everyone. It can help police by either falsely accusing them of police brutality.
The body cameras will help not only officers, but also citizens. Most crucial arrests happen while people are being very violent as they are being arrested. Most of these arrest is illegal due to many chokeholds being done and also civilians being shot down really bad. The point for the officer to be wearing these cameras is so no violence will be given to the officer or to the victim. Many of the victims that are arrested happen to be very violent and do not like being soft with officers so what they find the best thing to do is to fight back with officers, but when something like that happens the officers do have right to give them harm due to the fact that they are being violent and hitting back.
Now there is two possible outcomes, there was police misconduct and abuse of power, or the police officer did everything correctly and by the book. Either way there needs to be something that can protect the public from police misconduct and also protect law enforcement from dealing with false accusations that can tarnish their reputation. That is why body worn cameras need to be mandatory for all police officers to wear because it protects the public and the police officers that are wearing them. A couple positive outcomes police officers wearing body cameras is how they can lower police officers misuse of authority and also lower false complaints against officers as well. These are two
Police brutality has been one of the most dangerous issues that have been happening around the united states. A solution that has been talked about worldwide is body cameras on police officers. This solution would be very successful in stopping or decreasing police brutality The one that would be successful is the body cameras because the station would know what is going on at all times. How this solution is better is because this solution of body cameras would decrease the amount of crimes caused by the police and this would be beneficial for the police academy to have body cameras on the officers at all times. For example, the police at ASU now have body cameras on them at all times,"It 's just a process of us bringing the ASU police department
It is becoming more important for law enforcement officers (LEOs) to have video recordings of civilian contacts recorded from their own perspectives. Many times critical incidents happen out of range of the vehicle cameras. Just like most things in life, technology has found a way to make advancements in everything we do. Advancements in law enforcement are of no exception. Technology has put cameras in squad cars and now on our officers, but unlike vehicle-mounted cameras, the body-worn cameras travel with officers.
A major benefit for having body cams is the fact that it will decrease the force used by Police Officers. For the past couple of years there has been many videos of Police Officers using excessive force against innocent victims, especially with African Americans. “The notion has been around for a while. But since August 's fatal shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri -- for which witness accounts varied widely -- it 's gained traction to become part of the national conversation about police conduct.” (Brandon Griggs 1)
2. Another good thing about it is that police officers or the aggressor can be held accountable for their actions. Continuously wearing body cameras would hold police accountable for their appropriate, and inappropriate, conduct (Baum, E.,2015). 3. The cons about body cameras are privacy issues and limitations.
Most kids want to transport their phones to school. A common thing kids say is “ The teacher allows it though. ’’ Students and some teachers don’t know that cell phones in the classroom is unsatisfactory. Reasons for this are, it is a distraction, can be disguised as a gun, and can be used for cheating.
Visualization Regarding this, I want you to imagine a CCTV monitored playground with kids playing on it. Although some people might find it creepy that someone is watching them, picture out the sense of security provided by the CCTVs to the parents of these children. Now, let’s look at the bigger picture. Visualize the country where every intersection, road and public areas are monitored by CCTVs. Imagine that every road accident, crime can be recorded and all offenders can be traced and put to justice.
Technology: A Distraction in Life New modern life circled with technology gadgets. Technology has been progressing quickly which has become an important part in our lives which is harmful for our body. Many people have been using these stuff to communicate with each other, play games, listen to music, or discover a new culture. However, it may also have some positive impact in which it can help students in their daily life to get some information out of the internet to solve their homework or other things. For example, adults use these instruments at work and students at school.
