As the U.S election results are revealed, many Canadian citizens fear the impact Mr. Donald Trump could cause upon Canada. Trump has promised to pull away the U.S. from any international climate agreements, saying that he will “shred” Obama’s greenhouse gas policies. Moreover, this will greatly affect Canada since Canada has numerous climate projects with the U.S. Having Trump as president could permanently damage the trade that Canada has maintained with the U.S., since Mr. Trump is pledging to overhaul U.S. trade relations, especially since approximately $51 billion in goods cross the Canada-U.S. border per month, according to TD Economics. Trump has demanded multiple times to have a renegotiation of the American Free Trade Agreement. Therefore, since he has complete control, Trump has the power to terminate any free trade deal with Canada.
Trinisha Sullivan ELA 8B presidential essay 12/17/2015 Essay #2 Why shouldn 't Donald Trump be president? I believe that Donald Trump should not be president because, Trump has a degree in finance rather than Law, Trumps Ban against muslims and He thinks he can fix the world 's problems. Trump shouldn’t be president because he has a degree in finance rather than Law. I believe that to be president you should have to have multiple degrees like obama who has four law degrees. The president of the united states should be highly educated and if you 're not I don 't believe you qualified to be president Donald Trump also shouldn’t be president because of what he said about banning muslims.
Being a soldier takes courage, being a transgender soldier takes even more. Trump is banning transgender soldiers from serving in the military because it could "hinder military effectiveness, lethality, cohesion, and tax military resources" said by President Trump. Banning transgender soldiers is wrong and should be stopped because not allowing them the sever is discrimination. There are troops that are already serving in the military and the medical cost has little to no impact on the economy. By not allowing transgender soldiers to server is discrimination.
complications like surgery medical test medical examinations training may have effects on war itself in my opinion I think the president was looking out for military benefits the president looks at it as transgender people holding the military down from creating progress and growing. the president did have many reasons for why what morally it 's wrong to deny people of the United States citizens themselves the right to 5 for the country the right to protect the one they love denying these people rights to enlist in the army is like taken away they 're taking away their dignity and responsibilities as
I believe that we should not have an electoral college and depend on them. There are numerous reasons why I think this. It does not allow us to have a fair way to vote and it doesnt let everyone be heard. First, voters do not vote for the president they vote for a state of electors. If you have lived in Texas you would have to vote for a slate of 34 Democratic electors.
Even though the fence along the U.S./Mexico border is already being built, it should not continue being built because it is expensive, hurts the environment, and immigration rates have significantly dropped. With the wall comes its high costs like the cost of materials to build it or the money paid to the workers that are building it. When President Trump was doing the presidential campaign, he predicted the border was going to cost about twelve billion dollars, but that turned out to be untrue. Vanda Felbab-Brown herself writes, "... A Department of Homeland Security (DHS) internal report in February put the cost at $21.6 billion, but that may be a major underestimate.” Most of this is due to the size of the wall and all the fees that come along with building the wall on other territories. You would think that Trump would pay for it all himself but, that is simply not the case.
Donald Trump: A Great Role Model If you have checked your social media in the last two days, surely you are aware that Donald Trump skipped the Republican Party Debate. Trump decided to boycott the debate because he objects to the bias of the debate moderator from Fox News, Megyn Kelly. Whether his decision to skip the debate was based on the fact that he is afraid of her, or that he just greatly dislikes her, is unclear. The fact remains that she confronted him with his use of language to describe women and he is now a no-show. He may have been afraid that she would confront him again, or he was so angry at her that he decided not to go to the debate.
An example of this is that Donald Trump is trying to get rid of Muslims from our country. Ever since 9/11, Muslims have been taking segregation problems. That is not fair because not every Muslim is a terrorist. According to CNN “Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump called Monday for barring all Muslims from entering the United States (cnn.com).” These are his plans if he becomes president. He wants to build a great wall to block out all immigrants.
This is to tell kids that if they get asked a drug, their job is to say no. Donald Trump wants to solve the problem with people giving federal money to stop the issue. Lins Thulia wrote the article “Trump Wants to Bring Back “Just Say No” to Fix the Opioid Epidemic”. Thulia, the author of this article, was against Trump and points out that Trump should just get back to building his wall. Thulia thinks Trump won 't do much about the problem.
Americans face higher insurance premiums, higher deductibles, and higher prescription drug costs than ever before. Trump attempted to repeal the Affordable Care Act with the American Health Care Act but the bill was pulled because the legislation was not going to receive enough votes to pass. Trump had promised his voters they he would repeal Obamacare and replace it with a much better plan. This has yet to come to fruition and it looks like Trump isn’t any closer to repealing Obama Care. Healthcare is still a major discussion point in this country and will continue to be while so many Americans struggle to afford health insurance.
Why didn’t Obama file charges against the Bush government?Bush cost the taxpayers hundreds and billions of dollars and committed war crimes. Obama also promised the closing of the Guantanamo Bay detention center. The Washington post wrote an article on their own theory and they said “it might be the inability of the White House, Congress and foreign governments to come to an agreement about where to put the detainees”. The question for Americans is, Why didn’t he close Guantanamo Bay when he doesn’t have charges, evidence, proof or court cases for over 13 years now. Obama did not veto the detainee prevision and the national defense authorization act which codifies the indefinite detention of people including Americans without trial.
Thesis: Donald Trump if elected would make a terrible Republican candidate for president. Sub ¶- Authoritarianism If economic inequality is a problem, loss of traditional values is a fear, and the Hispanic vote is crucial, what explains the political rise of a twice-divorced, three times married, New York real estate man whose best-known phrase was, "You 're fired “and now makes offensive comments about Mexicans and immigrants? In a study at the University of Massachusetts, sampling of 1,800 that education, income, gender, age, ideology and religiosity had no significant bearing on a Republican voter’s preferred as a candidate. According to the study conducted by Mathew MacWilliams, “a single statistically significant variable predicts whether
The soldiers in the Vietnam war hated their involvement and many questioned why the united states stepped in the first place. According to Robert Peterson, “I guess I’m fighting for the continued freedom and prosperity of America. But then when i think about it, that doesn 't make much sense either….. To stop communism here or they’ll eventually take over America. That’s a bunch of… bullshit! As far as I’m concerned, unless we quit trying to kill each other there won 't be anyone left to rule the world.
The referees wouldn’t throw a flag if the offence was complaining, so why should they for the defense. Roger Cordell the commissioner of the NFL needs to repel this rule because it is not right to give the defense an advantage. It wouldn`t be much fun to play ageist a defense that always wins. Even if so the game would be very boring because the defense wouldn’t let the offense go ant where. The NFL has many more unnecessary rules and hopefully most of thin will be reaped and never talked about again.
It was Republican President Dwight Eisenhower, who despite protesting Democrats, sent troops to Arkansas to de-segregate their schools. Whereas, Democrats supported the KKK, instituted Jim Crow laws, and opposed Martin Luther King Jr.’s march on Washington. If anyone is in the position to step up and serve the unvarnished truth without gratuity – it’s Trump. Trump is perfectly situated for this because he isn’t a career politically correct politician, nor beholden to the influence of special interests groups or their money. Trump can tell it to black voters like no other presidential candidate has ever dared say.
