My 9th year I had the chance to get back into the cattle barn by showing a Maintainer heifer with my first year back and being awarded grand champion mainetainer heifer was beyond the greatest experience ever! However, in my years I’ve attend two camps one was at Tecumseh and the other was at Purdue University. Both those camps allowed myself to make new friends and learn to skills. Being a member of 4-H has driven me to my college major of Animal Science and Nutrition with all the livestock and research that has been done with all my projects. I plan to finish my career with making memories and more friends.
I learned a lot about cattle and the industry from helping my Dad throughout the years. Going on calls with him and working cattle is where I first became passionate about livestock. Ever since, I have worked at two different farming and ranching operations and have gotten to experience how those industries run. Working at these places also allowed me to start my own herd with the help of my dad and sister.
Other duties I had on the farm included working cattle. This job also allowed me to train local champion cutting and roping horses. Quick on their hooves, both running and jumping, while having a rough gait, western horses will improve a rider natural

To me, Farm Bureau means advocacy for the voices of the people. I served as a page in the Maryland Senate, where we were allowed to attend committee hearings. During both session and these hearings, I saw Farm Bureau members on several occasions. They were voicing their thoughts on proposed bills, they were present in groups of young people touring their state’s capital building, they were being recognized and congratulated by members of the General Assembly, and they were lobbyists and members of the Senate and House of Delegates themselves. I want to become a Veterinary Tech because I love animals and I love taking care of them. I’m a people person and I enjoy working with the public. Recently, I moved into a neighborhood with a lot of elderly neighbors; I started helping them take care of their dogs. I would get up in the morning and walk their dogs before I left for school.
I have a wealth of experience and knowledge that make me a highly qualified candidate. I have become recently certified through ABCTE for Elementary Education and Special Education, and I am waiting to receive my Idaho license.

I laced up my boots, threw on my ragged blue sweatshirt and a Gold Country Seed ballcap. As I stepped out of the garage, the crisp air nipped at my cheeks and engulfed my nose with the sour smell of manure. A light morning fog hovered over the pale mustard yellow buildings surrounding me. The blaring tractors and bellowing cattle assured me it was a good day for farming. Working on the farm has taught me great qualities such as integrity, responsibility, and dignity.

I believe a job as a certified nurse assistant will give me a better insight while working beside nurses and observe what set of skills nurses use. My strengths that best suit my personality and this program are determination, effort, caring, critical thinker, discipline, and enthusiastic. These qualities would reflect on a nurse and would make caring for the patient easier. I believe that I belong in the nursing field, because ever since I was a child, I always wanted to make a positive influence in people's lives.
I intend on being more than a dog and cat veterinarian; I desire to help those animals, along with others, such as those found on farms, in zoos, or even in wildlife sanctuaries. I also want to do more than just serve animals; I want to change the veterinary medicine field by creating new and more effective medicines and curing diseases and disorders that are uncured in today’s world. Once I become very successful and financially stable, I would like to help up and coming veterinarians like myself. I want to create my own non-profit organization dedicating to helping those ambitious and creative kids support their dreams financially, and obtain mentors and job shadowing opportunities to encourage them and properly prepare them for their future careers. By doing these things, I would change the lives of both animals and humans; animals, by making state of the art changes and discoveries, and humans, by supplementing their already solid passion in veterinary
