Not to mention, it also talks about how fast that information is moving, and how fast things are growing which can make it hard to make sure that the things you learn in college will help you in your future. For instance, if you learn something that becomes out dated in college, you will have to re-learn it by the time you get out of college. This can really cause problems for the future, and not to mention make people question the usefulness of college when what they are learning there is supposed to be useful, but in the end may not be helpful at all. Overall, I am interested in going to college because it will help me build a path to my future, and hopefully lead me to success. Critical thinking is an important skill in academics and life. It is difficult because it requires an active mind, and as a result there are many natural mental barriers to utilizing it. A time when critical thinking was challenging for me was when I was debating the necessity of going to college with a close friend. This was in sophomore year when we were beginning to seriously contemplate our future lives after high school. In this debate, I took the side that college was necessary in order to be successful in life; my friend believed there were other paths one could take and still achieve the same level of success through other avenues like trade schools or apprenticeships.
College should be free because of it can makes a big effect on student 's lives. If college can be free, more students would go to school and to get a higher degree for themselves. Then after graduating college without debt, students can be able to think about their own life such as doing business, buying house, etc. Also a better - educated population can make positive effect on the society. The goals are that I must go to college, learn as much as I can, and do what I love to do for the rest of my life. In my mind, the difference between a job and a career is if I went to college. In college, you may fail some tests and quizzes here and there but you must remember never to give up. It’s important to know that you’re not doing this just for yourself but for others. Something I like to tell myself every time I feel like giving up is to think about how many people’s lives I will make an impact on with my career. As an occupational therapist, I’m going to make a difference in someone’s life and help them enjoy life even more. So even if things get hard and you want to give up, a good thing to remember is that nothing in this world comes easy, least of all success.
