Why I Want To Go To College?

In the world we live in today. Going to college is no longer a choice, or privilege, but rather a need for a brighter future . So the big question that happens to be going around is, “Is College really worth it?”According to Andrew J. Rotherham’s article “Actually, college is very much worth it.”, “5 Ways Ed Pays”produced by (The College board), and “Why College Isn't (And Shouldn’t have to be) For Everyone” written by Robert Reich. The answer to that question is yes. Though there are many individuals who believe that college is not for everyone, attending college and getting a higher education can open the gates to many tremendous life changing opportunities such as becoming healthier, begin able to secure jobs, and earning more financially.

Above all, attending college is a major commitment of time and money, but it is also a down payment on success. Earning your college degree will help you realize your goals in your career as well as life in general. It requires a lot of hard work, but that work prepares you for a challenging and rewarding career and a more colorful

Being a first generation student in my family has always motivated my desire to succeed academically. So, I was always encouraged to put my education in front of everything else. I believe that going to college will help me figure out my hidden skills and develop my full potential to adjust in the real world. I want to be a psychologist, helping and counselling people. For this, I need to earn a doctorate degree. Besides, college will help me to meet new people, gain experience and skills to get a decent job.

Is college worth the cost? Is college important? A college education can open many opportunities to a person’s career. College will help prepare a person for a career in a particular field. College will also help a person succeed in the choice of their career, this is not available to people who don’t go to college. People who tend to go to college make more money than others, and are considered more employable. More and more jobs require some form of a college degree. College is worth the cost because in the end you will have a successful life.

As long as I can remember, I knew that college was going to be part of my future. That is because I always knew what my family expected out of me. College is not only important to me for the reason of making my parents proud, but for making sure that I create more out of myself, as well. With a higher education, I will have more job opportunities available, potentially be able to earn higher income, and obtain more useful life skills than somebody who does not have a college education.

Why do I want to attend college? College is an honorary achievement and it separates the determined from the undetermined. Owning a college to degree is an honor and an ecstatic feeling. Through college, that job is that much closer in the grasp. Through college, a person can perform at an elite level and really push themselves for greatness. I wish to attend college to further enhance my education, to be a first generation college student, and to become a better version of myself.

College is a new world. College isn't like high school where we can easily cheat in class or copied someone's homework. College is all about working towards being someone in life. College is about discovering more about ourselves and pushes us beyond our boundaries. It about being financially stable and able to take care ourselves and our family. It is about embracing reality. In Sherman Alexie "Whatever Happened to Frank Snake Church", Frank undergoes many challenges in his life and realizes in the end he wants to go to college. In The New York Times video “Dream Catchers: Four Students and the Dreams They Are Chasing," all the students were motivated to go to college and strived to be something better for themselves and their family.

High school graduates are starting to feel that they must go to college. Students are consistently being bombarded with different ideas of what to do after high school, most of which require some type of schooling or degree. Instructors and counselors commonly persuade students to think that we only have one option to be successful with a college degree. College might not be for everyone! From my research, I found many articles on reasons why people go to college, reasons they do not go to college, and statistics on going and not going to college.

College. One of the most crucial and immense decisions of a persons life. College is classified as one of the most tremendous milestones of an individual 's life, and the best. Going to college and seeking a degree you are more than likely to achieve success. Attending and graduating college guarantees a better life and more opportunities. You get to have a part in that college experience. I believe people should go to college and I am going to explain why.

The reason I am so motivated to go to college is because I have the opportunity to be the first in my family to attend college. Seeing my parents struggle with money because they can’t get a decent paying job is one of the reasons I desire to go to college. I know by going to college, and doing what I love, I will be able to enjoy what I’m doing while being able to have a improved life than I had experienced. When I have my own family, I want them to know I did something tremendous with my life and be proud of me as a parent. I want to be able to provide them the life my parents weren’t able to give me.

Education is very important to all of us as we decide what type of career we want. While I attended public schools growing up, I always thought about attending college. However, I became prepared for college when I attended Heritage High School through academic programs such as taking advanced placement classes, listening to advice from guidance counselors, and developing intelligent study habits to pursue my goals.

They seek to gain knowledge, to be exposed to ideas and philosophies that will enhance their lives. One of the main reasons to obtain a college education is the hope of using it to find a job that will enable them to live a comfortable life with a financially secured future. Some students go with the hope of meeting that one special person who will always care for them. Some students go to college so that they can move up in life. If they work hard and strive for improvement every day, hopefully, they can have a better life than their

I believe that everyone should go to college unless they plan on learning everything without college and because of the extra pay. Let’s just be honest, everyone wants to make a little extra money or even a lucrative amount. Some people can survive without a college degree or even less than a high school diploma. You make more than someone with a high school diploma or less; your options for career and jobs are broadened amazingly. With a degree, you can build your own business and establish a career. Which can lead to an increase of income which you can use for personal reasons.

Going to college has been a dream of mine ever since I started my high school career.
