People have talked about English becoming official language. This issue affects millions of people all over the world. There are 23 states that declares English as the official language of their respective states. A vast majority of people believe that English is the most dominant language especially in today 's day and time. It is believed that using other languages on their own time and in their own household shouldn 't be used in the government.

They are restricting federal and state employees from communicating with individuals that have came from other states specifically immigrants because it violates the First Amendment. Also it affects the government from having any communication skills. The government believes that they would see themselves as second-class citizens to the government of the United States. Even though there are over 325 languages that are being spoken in the United States English is the only one that keeps us bonded together. More than communication currency there is much more unifying force in the world. Having only one official language sends clear messages to make it the official business language of the United States.

The founding fathers had no need to legislate that English be the official language of the country. People failed to understand that English is the national language. They always believed to think that you have to learn I know how to speak and comprehend English in order to live in America. Theodore Roosevelt said “We have room for but one language here and then in the language English language”.

There have been several demands that black English be included in bilingual education programs. A long leading critic of bilingual education and bilingual ballots happened in 1981 by Senator S.
