Ivan Milat is known as the “backpacker” murderer and also Australia’s worst serial killer. Ivan Milat was known to the police prior to the murders he committed. Between 1992-1993 Ivan managed to kill 7 people of which the police have convicted him of, but there has been said there was another possible 5 victims that he has supposedly murdered but he has not been convicted of. Ivan Milat was known as the “backpacker” murderer as he would pick up back packers from the sydney area Kings Cross and around that area. He would pick up hitchhikers that wanted to travel down south and he took advantage having them in the car alone with him.

In 1972 he took the life of his first victim. It was a 10-year-old boy named Jack Blake. Arthur took him fishing a few days before he disappeared. Andrei Chikatilo: The Russian Ripper Andrei Chikatilo, also known as the Russian Ripper who went on a twelve year killing spree, was born in the village of Yablochnoye, U.S.S.R on the 16th of October, 1936. During this time in the Soviet Union, life was hard for the citizens who were struggling to acquire the essentials required for survival which led some residents to eventually turn to cannibalism. The compounded struggles of trying to survive with the aftermath of world war two would eventually have an impact on how Chikatilo carried out his brutal attacks (Jenkins, 2015). Although he experienced a rough upbringing, Chikatilo was highly educated, earning degrees in literature and engineering from Rostov University.

Dennis Rader was Birth by his mother dorethea Rader in Kansas on March 9, 1945 and his father’s name was William Rader. As a young boy Dennis moved to Wichita Kansas to move to a better place from what he was living in. Dennis joined a youth boy scouts when he was a boy and then soon joined a church. Dennis attended Riverview elementary school where he was said to be an average student by his elementary school teachers.

Andrei Chikatilo was a true incarnation of evil. He was a serial murderer and rapist who killed about 56 people and raped 254 people in 12 years through strangulation and stabbing by knife. The most gruesome characteristics of his crimes include necrophilia, cannibalism, mutilation, and evisceration. Evisceration is when the internal organs of the abdominal cavity are removed. He began his murder spree in 1978 and was caught in 1990.
