The competitive nature of football in Latin America helped it flourish and plant deep roots in the cultures of these countries. The sport can impact many aspects of their everyday lives and lead to nationalism and strong pride. Soccer in Latin America has been analyzed by historians, journalists, and filmmakers as an important feature of understanding the country’s popular culture and national identity through the history of Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina. Once all three countries could defeat the English National and club teams, soccer was a main source of nationalism and helped confirm the social development of these Latin American countries (Nadel 45). Brazilian soccer plays an important role in the globalization of the sport while directly

I’m the first generation of my family to be Mexican -American, but I have been introduced to the Mexican culture since I was born. I appreciate the difficulties my parents have faced to make me the person that I am today even though I wasn’t born in Mexico my parents have taught me the language and the culture which I’m so proud of being part of. For others being Hispanic is actually being born in any Latin American countries which is not true at all. Being Hispanic is much more than my cultural background it actually describes how much I appreciate my culture and how I get to experience things other people don’t. I fit into the Hispanic community through the experiencing the culture first hand ,participating in traditions and planning to include my culture in my future.
Culture is an essential part of a community’s identity, because it links individuals to a collective bond. The Americas have always contained a vast variety of cultural communities, especially in the United States. The US is known for being one of the most diverse nations in the world, housing hundreds of different cultures. Mexican-Americans display a strong sense of a cultural background, which falls as a subset of the bigger Latino culture that links all Latinos. Oral history is a major aspect on the Mexican culture, which contributes to the truth of how history in the United States actually happened.
What is the Evolution of Soccer? Charles Darwin once stated, “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change." Though Darwin might’ve been talking about the evolution of species, the idea of evolution stays true to sports, including soccer. Soccer has evolved in so many ways from where it all took place, to it’s transition to today, to the equipment, and the impact it’s left all around the world. When observing a sport as popular as soccer, it’s hard to imagine that it’s origin is difficult to find.
In this paper I have proved that Pelé,a Brazilian footbauller,is the best in all time. Pelé before and after his career improved the lives of soccer players, and others as well. And through his whole life he was a fantastic person and that he was a leader to many and that he inspired thousands upon thousands around the world. Pelé left his mark on the world for sure. When he played thousands of people around the world, young and old, big and small, boys and girls, all watched with amazement and wonder. He inspired all who watched no matter if he knew them or not.
It predates any other sport but is only recently coming to America. It has been all over the world and every country plays it. Much like the Baseball has the World Series; Soccer has the world cup that all countries participate in, through qualifiers. Influence is drawn from the love of the game, while being considered a gentleman’s sport. Through this sport, people are brought together, while together they start things.
Making this genre a base for the up keep of the Latino Cultures. The main sub genres of Latino Music do play an amazing part in expanding the Latino community. Reggaeton, Salsa, Bachata, Samba and Tango originating from different regions of Latin America but contributing to the one and only Latino Community on a global level. These sub genres have been divided because of different customs and origins but in the end come together. Unifying an ethnicity:
The sports programs are a vital fundamental in universities as they bring attention and fame to them. Every university is best in a different sport and some even play a sport that others don 't have an interest in like Polo. There is another thing that is important to the sports program which is the mascot. The mascot is the face of the school like how the Texas Tech is the "masked raider"(Texas Tech, Masked Raider) or like how Sam Houston is the "bearcat"(Sam Houston, Mascot). Texas Tech is most famously known for their "Olympic sport in Soccer, Volleyball, Softball, and Track & Field" (Texas Tech, Olympic sports).
As a Mexican American, being Hispanic means everything I live, breathe and stand for. To me Hispanic means family, culture, unity, sacrifice and love. Growing up in a Mexican household, allowed me to embrace the meaning of family and welcome the core values that have been embedded in my heart and spirit. I am proud and honored to be taught how to work hard physically and mentally, to commit and lead in causes that are worth the fight, to sacrifice for others and to serve one another in love. Not only was I led by example of these things, but I had numerous opportunities to see it in Hispanic community and the church as well.
Soccer in Latin America Soccer to a great extent is the most popular sport in the Latino America communities. Specifically, it is more dominant in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Bolivia and Peruvian (Cuellar 722-733). Soccer is engrained into children at a very young age. They grow into a family with an already created passion for the sport. Latin Americans conduct the sport on a regular basis, and it is not only a sport but also a source of recreation and leisure.
Since I was about 12 years old I have searched for and studied other cultures. Many of my closest friends come from foreign countries and due to that I have participated in celebrations and traditions that range from a holi festival to a bar-mitzvah. Lately, one hundred percent of this devotion has been committed to integrating myself with and learning from the mexican culture. I currently live in a beautiful city in Mexico named Durango. The deep and profound love I have for this place finds its roots in my love for the people and intense interest in the culture.
I would recommend this album to anyone because it is one of my favorite albums of all time, and it is worth spending the money. J Cole’s music appeals to the mind of the listener, he raps about real life issues: more than heartbreak and love. He raps about real life experiences. He often raps about his experiences of being black and the discrimination that he has lived through. In his song, “No Role Modelz”, he says “I came fast like 911 in white neighborhoods, ain’t got no shame bout it”.
