Battle of Saratoga:
The Battle of Saratoga was very helpful toward the Patriots because it showed the French that they had a chance with this war. Once the French saw they can hold their ground they decided to help them in the war. The reason the French helped them was because at the time the British had the strongest army in the world.

The battle of Yorktown sated the end of the war and that all the American’s had their freedom. Declaration of Independance This was the official showing that Declared the Beginning of the war and the start of our independence which means we were fighting to be free.. After the Declaration of Independence it was harder for the Loyalists to say in the colonies so most of them went back to Great Britain. The reason the Declaration is at number 3 is because it was very important because this sated the beginning of the war and the document our independance. This document was signed at the beginning of the American Revolution and this is was one of the reason the war went on. George Washington George Washington was the General of the Rebels. He was very inspirational to all Patriots by never say we can't. He was also the first president of the United States of America. At the battle of Yorktown George Washington lead his army to make the British to surrender. George Washington was a very important to this Revolution. He was important because he was the leader of the Rebel forces. Later he also became the First President of the United States of America. The Battle of Trenton was a substantial turning point early in the Revolutionary war. Though this was a relatively small battle, the significance cannot be overlooked as it was an extremely important victory for the fight for independence. The battle took place in the winter of 1776 after a series of defeats for the Continental Army. It was in fact the first major victory for the Continental Army. This battle changed the momentum of the war by increasing morale and giving the Continental Army new purpose.
This was one of many battles that the American Army would win. One of the biggest battles of The American Revolutionary War was the Battle of Yorktown. “You are not aware that Cornwallis surrendered to General Washington, Cornwallis surrendered to General Washington on the nineteenth of October, in Virginia, at the port of Yorktown” (Bristow 382). The British were trapped at Yorktown, Virginia and British General Lord Cornwallis surrendered 8,000 British troops (Citation). This was a tremendous victory for The American Army!
One of theses ways was that this was probably the first time the British realized how strong the americans really were. This was because even though the Patriots technically lost they inflicted a extreme amount of damage to the British troops. Another reason this was important is that the British also realized that the americans would not give up easily. It was important that the British realized this because this meant that they were going to have to fight a war to keep America under their control. A third reason this was important is because the British had many unexpected casualties that would probably have gone to future battles.
The French joined because of the loss they had to England on the Seven Years War and wanted to get payback so they joined after noticing that the Americans had beaten the British at Saratoga. The battle took place at Yorktown, Virginia. The French are on the American side and helped the Americans win the war. The French helped by donating guns, food, and ammunition. The war started on September 28 of the year 1781.
Valley Forge was the winter quarters of the army in 1777, there wasn 't a battle fought there and winter made it hard to find food and forage for the troops, they nearly starved. The Second Battle of Saratoga was also known as the Battle of Bemis Heights. The Americans were above the British and could see the location of the British troops, they could easily send their troops to the right spot to stop the British, this lead to the American victory. The swamps in the south made it easy for the Americans to fight a "guerrilla war" against the British there.

The General in charge of the attack realized there were too many colonists, and sent for reinforcements. The reinforcements come 2 weeks later, at Bemis Heights, though, they were too late, as well as surrendered. The british surrendered, and the Americans were astounded. They had one.
