The father and the many bystanders question the power of God when even the disciples cannot help the boy. This leads Jesus to utter the aforementioned quote about the importance of having faith. This proves that Jesus believes that anyone can be saved, if he has faith in God. This could even extend to the rich man. If the rich man had faith in God, he too could be saved.
The resurrection of Jesus is a historical event that really happened, is not just a myth or a lie like some people say it is. It is so important that history is named after this, meaning it impacted the whole world and changed history forever. Jesus the Son of God did die on the cross and then resurrected from the dead. He did what no human has ever done or will do, all because of his unending love and grace for us. This has been concluded through a lot of resources like the Bible, circumstantial and historical evidence.
To make full use of Jesus’s atonement in every individuals’ life, one should have faith in him, repent one’s mistakes. This will lead one to god forever, having faith in his forgiveness by atonement. God has provided the world a special day for atonement, to turn his wrath for sins and show his presence among the people. This day is important for the climax for every sacrifice, only on the Day of Atonement the representative could stand in the solemn meeting place between God and the people. On the Day of Atonement, one goat is sacrificed and the other is sent into the wild to die.
I urge you to explore those areas just mentioned and ask God again and again who He wants us to be for Him as that can be specific for each of us. But in in addition to this, part of God’s plan is for us to become more and more Christ-like as the years go by and to use us to bring others to him. I need you to imagine something so would you close your eyes for a second please. Think for a moment about the person or persons who helped you come to Christ. What did they tell you about Jesus?
It is a good word to remember, because it’s a word that changes our lives forever for those who love Jesus. On Day 6 we talked about how to ask Jesus to live in your heart. If you have never done that before, and you would like to now, or if you don’t know how to do that, we have a simple prayer you might like to say in the back of this book, that will help you do that. It is a small prayer, but it will bring big changes to your life, because Jesus will come into your life and become your Saviour.
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Mark 2:17, ESV). This verse creates a beautiful analogy to show why Jesus came to earth, and it also gives Christians an example of what their purpose is. If Jesus spent his time trying to change the lives of tax collectors, thieves, and adulterers, then Christians should follow suit and bring the Gospel to prisoners. From a Biblical perspective, it is clear that prisons should focus on turning people's lives around by rehabilitating them with the
Psalm 89:26 says, “He shall cry to Me, ‘You are my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation’” (NKJV). Many other religions acknowledge that Jesus was a good teacher, but they strip Him of His Deity. With the Word of God as our source, we can see that Jesus is just as much God as the Father and Spirit. In Phil. 2:5-11 Paul gives us a very clear picture of Jesus’ deity “Make your own attitude that of Christ Jesus, who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be used for His own advantage…” (NLT).
In the Bible, Jesus taught us that as His followers, we should love all people as well. We shall sacrifice our selfishness for the others. Only if we love the others in the same way Jesus loved us, will there be a type of love that is truly unconditional and selfless. Jesus came to serve the others rather than to be served by others, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to
Even the fact that you’re alive is a miracle in itself. Jesus performed spectacular miracles ones that no one else can perform, raising people from the dead and healing blindness are only some of the wonderful things that Jesus has done for people during is time on Earth. He performed these miracles to show a sign of waiting and point for the
Because once we accept Jesus in our lives as our Lord and Saviour we try and imitate Him. He is our friend and companion for life but when we sin, sin separates us from him. This does not mean that we do not qualify for eternal life but we do not want to live a life without Jesus by our side. People who are friends with each other do not do opposite things but try and copy from each other. We need to copy how Jesus lived; He was pushed many times by wrong teachers and Pharisees but His self-control was just amazing.
