Whenever I was younger, I never realized that school was so important. I was at a stage where I did not care about school and gave up on everything including my grades. Until one day I knew that it was not a good decision and school is very important. Early mornings, and leaving my house for seven hours to sit at school and learn things is kind of crazy. Junior High was never my favorite school. I struggled too much in my eighth-grade classes. I also only had one friend who helped me get through my classes, and today we still talk, we just aren’t as close. High School has changed me, a lot and now I look at school a whole different way, then how I did in Junior High. High school we get more freedom, and we don’t have to worry about getting caught chewing gum, or worrying about following the teachers around whenever we have meetings.
I was 13 years old whenever I found out about the Internet, and ever since I used to be really, really obsessed with it like I couldn’t go anywhere without it. I also used to just listen to music all the time, which I still do that today. Music has always been in my life, and I personally love listening to it. I don’t really have a favorite type, I have a few I like. I’ve always been super shy, and would never really talk to anyone. I have a few people I talk to once in a great while. The only person I really talk to

I couldn 't really decide what I wanted for my birthday, so I chose the tattoo. People say they hurt, no they don’t. When it comes to shots, I absolutely hate them. But whenever it comes to tattoos or piercings they don’t bother me. They only make me nervous, but not really scared of them like I am of shots. Music helps get shots off of my mind, or sometimes they have a nerve thing the rub on your arm, and that also helps as well. Everyone’s pain tolerances are different though, and not everybody 's the
The lunch bell rang loudly in my ear as I packed up my materials from math class. As soon as Mrs. Millie released our class, I raced everyone else in our grade to my locker so I wouldn’t have to wait in the back. I quickly entered the combination into my lock, snatched my lunch box from the top shelf and met up with Whitney by the cafeteria doors to get a good table that wasn’t in the back corner where we normally sat. “So, how have you been since...
The transition from middle school to high school is what shaped me the most and this adjustment has changed me in both good and bad ways. As a freshman, I enrolled in a private school, called Bridgemont High School. It was a very small school and did not have the same help as the public schools offered. I didn 't have an ELD class and classes providing extra help were limited. Eld means einglish language development, these classes are classes to help develop your english speaking skills even though i can speak english i had poor grammar.
There was so much freedom in High School compared to Junior High! I was able to walk off campus and eat, hang out with my friends at the local mall, and awkwardly gaze at the cute senior boys from school. Sophomore year was great. I entered junior year of high school unbothered by the fact that my father did not have a role in my life. However, as my father realized that I was about to be a senior, he started reaching out more.
Every student starting middle school has a conflict in making new friends the first days of school. Me myself also had problems making new friends because I was very shy. Fortunately I had one of my friends from elementary school. Although I'd love to tell you the way I made friends I changed over the year to survive middle school.
High school is one of the greatest pivotal times in a human's life. It is where young adults are able to form their own opinions on the world, find activities they are passionate about, and learn to create fruitful relationships with their peers and teachers. However, I did not initially view high school as a period of time for growth and development. Instead, I saw it simply as another task to complete before I entered the real world. I did not take advantage of all the opportunities around me and I began to find school to be institutionalized or meaningless.
When I started Unity High School I thought that it was going to be boring school because my first choice was Skyline but my mom made me come to this school so I had to obey what my mom wants because she takes care of me and helps me with whatever I need help with so going to the school that she wanted me to go to was the least I could have done. I thought that high school was going to be difficult because the work that my brother would bring home when he was in high school looked really hard and I did not understand most of the work he needed to complete. But I realized that I need to be taught the material before I go on and do the work
I felt as if I should have stayed in middle school. I did not feel that I fit in with the rest of my peers not physically or mentally, aside from maturing I needed to work on getting fully comfortable with myself before I would be able to expose myself to others. You are so much more to me than just my mom, you are my best friend. Mom you are the
Narrative: I moved to Kansas City, Kansas seven years ago. It all started when I was in 6th grade with these girls. I was a different race then them. They thought it would be cool to mess and try to get rid of the white girl. One day, they decided to try everything they possibly can to get me kicked out.
High school has impacted my life in so many ways. High School taught me so many things, from personal relationships to creating a relationship with my education. As a freshman, I made a huge amount of mistakes and I regret doing foolish things, but I’ve realized, I was only maturing into the young adult I am today. Freshman year, I was out of focus and I was only trying to find myself. I would also prioritize other things and ignore my parent’s advice, where they would tell me to focus in school and give it my full attention.
I feel as though I have changed a lot throughout my high school career so far. I have made new friends, drifted away from others, modified the career path I want to go on, and most importantly I have become closer to myself and have started to do things I feel are best for me. So much has changed in just half of my career at this school and I am very excited to see where the next two years take me. I can’t even imagine where else I will go in life but I will try my best to make it great. I have many amazing people in my life that push me to do what they know I can and want me to do what makes me happy.
High school is always a unique experience for students. It is a time filled with discovery, terror, confusion, and many caffeine fueled all nighters. While all high school students share these beautifully tragic experiences, I can say with confidence that my time in high school has deviated a bit from the norm. Attending the Jacqueline M. Walsh High School for the Visual and Performing Arts (JMW) has allowed me to unapologetically be my authentic self while giving me the opportunity to thrive as the musician I always aspired to be. Growing up, I was a very introverted child who secretly wanted to be a singer.
How have I changed in high school? Mostly every kid in high school have changed not every kid but some kids. Personally I’ve changed a lot since high school started. When I was in middle school I was a total nerd.
People often say life is what you make of it. You can make the most out of it, you can not care, or you can trudge around constantly being down. Everyone wants to be memorable; to etch their self into our Earth, and me? I’ll be remembered as that one hyper, creative, nerdy, Jesus freak of a girl and I love it. The majority of people at Carmichael Middle School knows me as the one loud girl who always yells and jumps in the hallways (oops.)
Kindergarten to 8th grade I attended a private school called Holy Family Catholic School. The school was very small along with classes, teachers extremely strict and hallways always quiet, the totally opposite from Dr. Henry A. Wise. My first day of high school I was very nervous I was not used to big classes, endless amount of students in the halls and the loud ruckus. This was an educational challenge for me because it was a totally different learning environment for me that i had to get used to quickly. My studying habits also challenged me through high school because test and quizzes were given out frequently and if you didn't know how to study you probably wouldn’t get a good grade.
The most difficult thing being my age, fourteen, is the adjustment to high school. Graduating from middle school and going right into high school is a big change. It’s scary to have to start high school without all your old school friends. The first change for me was lockers.
