Depending on how far away students live from the school, they would have to wake up as early as five so they can get ready and catch their bus on time. Lots of the students here are probably sleep deprived because they can’t fall asleep at night probably from stress, anxiety, insomnia, or even just homework. Students also have their extracurricular activities that make them have to push homework aside and do it later causing them to stay up late. This is because of how later times align better with the teenage circadian rhythm and fit more easily into the day, making it much less difficult for teens to wake up for school. It has been shown that this not only improves academic focus, but by improving student capacity and reducing car crashes
