Fred Westen, the CEO of the Hathaway Jones, wants to open a new store in Shanghai and he believes he has found the perfect candidate, Mimi Brewster. Fred has known Mimi since she was a little girl and knew how hard of a worker she was at such a young age. That exuberant and hardworking attitude remained in Mimi as she graduated from Berkley at the top of her class with a degree in modern Chinese history. After college, Mimi worked with at the largest retailer in America, Elanor Gaston. Here, she watched closely, learning the fashion tastes of the young people eager to buy into the next big trend. The company’s future success seems to be based off expansion so Mimi with her degree in modern Chinese history and her experience with young people’s trends could help boost the store’s sales immensely. However, Fred should bring this up in an interview to see what response Mimi will give towards that sensitive information. If Fred does decide to hire Mimi, there could be some foreseeable consequences. If information about Mimi’s leadership in the peaceful protests went public, the Hathaway Jones store in Shanghai could be jeopardized and could be forced to shut down putting the company in a less than ideal financial situation.
