Although many people claim that playing soccer is pointless because you just have to run with the ball and kick the ball into the goal, I think that it’s really fun, it has taught me lots of things, and I have had lots of memorable experiences. To me soccer is like a bone to a dog. There is not one day that I don’t kick a soccer ball because when I see a soccer ball lying around in my house I feel like if I have to play with it because If I don’t at the end of the day I will feel like if I didn’t do what I was supposed to do throughout that day. I like the feeling of all the cheers coming from the sideline whenever I score or whenever one of my teammates score. The sound of the ball touching the net whenever my team kicks the ball towards the …show more content…
I still remember when I went to Long Beach to play at a tournament called mexgames. My teammates, coaches and I got to stay at a hotel for free because the organizer of the tournament payed for everything. Although we ate the same breakfast everyday the same lunch everyday and the same dinner every day the food wasn’t that bad and plus it was free so why not. I had a blast those three days because I got to spend a lot of time with my teammates and there we shared lots of funny and memorable moments that no one else knows about. During the tournament I got to meet the Mexico Women’s National soccer team head coach and some of his assistants. Yes the games were competitive because the teams were being watched by the head coach so that they could pick 5 to 6 girls to play professional soccer with the national team, but it was also unforgettable and the funnest experience I have ever experienced. Even though soccer comes with lots of memorable moments it also comes with several skills to learn and adapt to. One skill that I have adapted to from playing soccer is communication skills. I have adapted to this skill because it is key in playing
One of the most predominant experiences to me would be when I won a winter guard competition. It is absolutely one of the most unbelievable experiences to hear you guard's name over the speaker for everyone to hear while a judge gives your captains a trophy with a big #1 on it. Everyone was in unmitigated shock when they heard our name because when we first started, we all weren't really that skilled. Actually, most of my guard was first-year rookies. They had never even picked up a flag before this.
We had a lot of fun even though our brothers team wasn't doing too well, after we left that first game I couldn't stop thinking about that really cute girl I sat next to. I thought that it was a fun experience but I didn't think it would go anywhere, but boy was I wrong.
She showed me the beautiful sport of soccer when I was six years old and I've loved it ever since. Over the years it has become harder and more stressful, but I have learned to make sacrifices in life. I have missed out on some of the most exciting experiences in high school from homecoming, to state championship games, but these were sacrifices I had to make to better myself and my game. The biggest challenge I face is losing friendships. It is difficult to maintain friendships due to being gone for four out of the seven days a week.
People run very much, and it can keep people active. When people train, they are able to work very hard on the field. When staying active people can run down the line, and score a goal. Overall, soccer is the best sport to play because people stay active.
Some abilities that I behold are being able think deeply into in depth questions and I also can think in broad spectrum of thinking. I think what has helped me to excel in Critical thinking is by playing sports. Playing sports has always been part of my life and to this day it has helped me become a better man and also better student. Playing sports has taught me hard work, and even failure. After playing to the best of my ability I was cut from the hockey team that I had been apart of since its beginning. The cut took the wind out of my sail.
The sport of football is apart of my life and I have been playing it with my school friends forever. The sport is also a tremendous part of my family, because we watch games together all the time and it brings us together. It is also something I talk about with my friends, and it brings us together and makes us feel as one. The game also keeps me in shape and makes me stronger for the other things I enjoy in life. As I said before, the sport means a lot to me, and helps me out with other
To some people, there’s a meaning to every goal, kick, and pass. Soccer has a meaning. To some people, soccer is just a dumb and , boring sport that is completely useless. But to others it’s a lifestyle because, it revolves around their everyday life. There’s people passionate about this sport, and I’m one of them.
Being shoved to the ground and coming up with a mouthful of turf and a bloody nose isn’t the ideal way to spend a friday night, but for me, it's something I put blood, sweat, and tears into. Soccer has been a passion of mine since my father dropped me off at the local YMCA when I was at the tender age of four. Spending all of my free days for thirteen years running after a soccer ball is arguably what made me into the person I am today. Unity, tenacity, passion and pride have all been morals that are valued within the sport and in my own philosophy. I have explored places I’d never give a second thought to because my sport took me there.
Before Christmas I had a indoor soccer tournament and it was the same place my mom used to play indoor soccer when I was a little kid so it was like dayshavoo every time I went there even though I have very few memories of it. The game was tied but playing in that tiny space made me frustrated because I couldn 't run without running into someone over and over again so I had to mind my space and always look over my shoulder so that when I turn I won 't get it taken away from me right away but I liked that there were walls to rebound the shots and so we could pass to ourselves when no one is open.
During my eleventh grade year of high school, I played soccer. First off, before you can play soccer you have to learn the language of the sport so you will understand how to play, what the coach is saying, and where you are supposed to be on the field. Before I started playing soccer, I thought it was just kicking a black and white ball into a goal. I quickly realized that you have an entire athletic language to learn in order to play soccer.
One of my best days was when my soccer team won the championship. I won several other championships ,but with other teams. This was my first season playing with this team. The major characters in this event were me, my teammates, my coaches and the parents. This event took place in a park at sanger during the summer.
Soccer brought me out my kind of addiction to video games which were my life during my childhood. Soccer got me outside and around people more to socialize. It was not easy for me at first to just go and join the soccer team after not playing any sport since I was around seven years old. I worked hard for about a year before I joined the high school team. I spent many hours outside for many days to get into shape and fit enough to play for long periods of time.
First, soccer can improve your health and fitness. People of various ages who play sports are healthier than people who don’t do anything at all. Soccer is a useful skill that can do a lot of things with a person’s
Soccer has kept me off the streets, it keeps me focused, maintaining agility, stamina and a side of aggression. The feeling I get when playing soccer is indescribable, the wind in my face, the crowd cheering me on..most importantly the goal - soccer relates so much to my everyday life it’s taught me teamwork and keeping myself healthy and sharp. The one person I look up to is Lionel Messi #10, the jersey that I so proudly wear every game, his motivational words, his enthusiasm really drove me to get that number and one of my favorite quotes of his would have to be “the day you think there is no improvements to be made is a sad one for anyone.” this quote is important to me because it’s a quote with such a powerful meaning, telling me that even though you may THINK you can’t get better, or do better something pushes you inside to do much greater things and I’m still learning as I go. You could ask any one of my friends or family members how much soccer has became a part of me, I want to have that name “Destiny Scott” affiliated with soccer it’s become second nature to me, soccer is a major part in my life and it has made me into the person I am
For many years I was interested in becoming the greatest soccer player in the world but I practiced only like once every two weeks. I started noticing that all of my friends were surpassing me in soccer and becoming a lot better than me. I asked myself, “how am I going to become the greatest soccer player in the world if I rarely practice and all my friends are becoming better than me?”. I told myself that I would become better than all of my friends again and that I would practice everyday for three hours.
