In conclusion, we should always remember those who fought and are still fighting for us not just one time a year but everyday. We should be thankful for a veteran, because we have freedom to do the things we love where some countries do not get that privilege. We can hunt , fish, play basketball and see our friends and family. Some countries don’t get the freedom that we do.
The second way veterans are heroes is they're courageous not scared to shoot nor to get shot because if they weren't we would halve lost every time. The last but not least reason that they're heroes is they fight for our country and freedom they for america to protect american citizens. So they may not halve superpowers but they are
Veterans fight for our freedom because if we're not free other countries might treat us unfair. In conclusion, American veterans are considered heroes because they are sacrificial, confident, and they fight for our freedom. Veterans are people who fought for our country. They work hard for our country and make sure it's not taken
I myself have to think sometimes about what other people might be going through, even though we have freedom over here, there are many wars happening and many people losing their lives. To me, a veteran is a hero in disguise that live among ordinary people and live ordinary lives. Veterans are people who make sure that when we die, we will die in peace on the very soil where they have walked. They dedicate themselves to defend a nation
Not many people wake up thinking of the people risking their lives daily. Most of us just think,”should I go to Starbucks or Sonic?” Have you ever had a loved one in the military .I have a lot of relatives who did fight in the military, think of all those soldiers dying and risking their lives for strangers. People they never met and still knowing the risk. Now that is heroism.
What makes a soldier a hero? What is a hero? Or, better, what makes a hero? For many in this country, the term hero is now used to characterize any American who has served in Iraq or Afghanistan. Understandably, it 's a way to express semantically the feelings of gratitude and admiration that a large portion of the population holds for the few who have endured years the many horrors of war.
Whether it is having a moment of silence, or just thanking a veteran, it is important that we do something. They sacrificed a lot for us, and we need to show our appreciation. Memorial day and Veterans day get confused, Memorial day is honoring veterans who have passed away, Veterans day is to honor ALL veterans. They risked or even lost their lives for us and for our country. We need to show them that what they did for us
For a veteran to be called an American hero, they would be willing to take risks, be brave, and save people’s lives. Another thing they would have to do to become an American hero is that they need to stay faithful to their team and country. Another thing they need to do to be called an American hero is they need to be patient, caring, and selfless. Another thing they need to do to be called an American hero is to be respectful, be tidy, and follow direction or they could get in trouble and maybe if they go to war a bad thing may happen to that person and maybe others around them. For a veteran to be called an American hero they may need to do some of these and being called an American hero is very important and honoring.
To me veteran is a person who risked their life so I could live in a better country. Throughout America’s history, we have depended on our soldiers to keep us safe and fight for our country while at the same time fighting for their families and their lives. Without veterans we couldn't enjoy the little things that we do now, we wouldn't be free. They fought for the people who couldn't fight for themselves. I believe that the soldiers who stood on the front lines to fight in wars are very brave.
Veterans Veterans day is coming up so instead of celebrating it let's do all we can to show we appreciate them. I don’t know about you but my favorite hero group is the U.S.A. Military. Veterans are heroes because you're reading this. The fact that I was able to type this and the fact that you're able to understand this is why their heroes. Men and women have fought so we can go to school.
There are a lot of important reasons why we should honor our veterans. One of the biggest reasons we should honor our veterans is because they risked their lives to protect ours. In some of the scariest, if not the scariest, situations in the world, thousands of soldiers bravely fought for our freedom. Even though they knew the risks, they still decided to go into the military. To this day, many veterans still face side effects of war.
Lincoln’s second inaugural address states, ”To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan.” Our country could do better by helping out our veterans in many different ways. I will be explaining how we can help them out better. South Dakota has only three VA hospitals. We have them in the following; Sioux Falls, Hot Springs, and Fort Meade.
Veterans are some of the bravest men and women that you will ever know. They fought for our country in our most desperate hours and risked their lives so we could have the chance to live ours. It is such a shame that they are ignored and even homeless in today 's society. I had wondered how we could get veterans of the street and back into the job world. After research I found that there are programs and methods put in place specifically to help these struggling veterans.
Heroes in our society are revered and respected as Joseph Campbell reminds us: “A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself” (Joseph Campbell). Heroes exist in all societies and throughout history. Maybe they are not always on the news or from the movies, but their words and their actions never fail to resonate across their feats. A hero gives of himself and dedicates himself to causes which better others and their society unlike individuals who are self serving, greedy, and cruel.
I have never realized how important Veterans Day and why we celebrate Veterans Day. We celebrate Veterans Day on the 11th day, 11th hour and the 11th month. We celebrate it to honor military veterans that served in the United States Armed Forces. I really didn't realize what all the Veterans have done for me and the world now, until and have matured and got older. This saying really relates to what the Veterans have done for us in today's world, “Look how far we have come, and how far we have to go.”
