I think slavery was terrible because we weren 't treated as human beings . we were treated like animals. Slavery was a way for whites to suppress us from what we were capable of doing. Blacks were smart, but they were wiped into thinking other wise. Slavery makes me appreciate what we have today.
Such as the rights we have and the freedom. We have privileges now that we didn 't back then. We were able to climb above slavery. Some people still look at us as slaves. I think it was a real rough time for blacks back then.
I think it was a hard time for black people.They worked in the fields and the main house for their white masters.They never got reward for a good job. As a slave you had housing an leftovers to feed your family.They took
