In this essay I will be talking/explaining about the “ American Revolution “. The American Revolution was taken place in 1765-1783. All these years, this war was fought for freedom and Independence.The war was between Great Britain and the 13 colonies. I will also will be telling you why it happened and how it started. Also I will be including the battles of the war and why it was important, and last, what was the importance of the war.

The war happened because the colonists wanted freedom and Independence. Freedom was everything they wanted especially Independence. Great Britain didn’t give the colonists freedom because they thought they wouldn’t be independent and get along with Great Britain. The 13 colonies wanted war with Great Britain. But Britain didn’t think they would win. Britain had fought many wars and was the best army/military of any other army, they had never lost any battle yet but the American Revolution. The 13 colonies already knew they were the great of any military of any other military but they had faith in themselves that they knew they can bring down Great Britain. …show more content…

In December 1773, a large group of Mohawk Indians came by boarded british ships, they dumped out 352 chests of tea into the “ boston Harbor “ , an outraged Parliament passed a series of measures, known as the Intolerable Act. The Sugar act taxed sugar, wine, and coffee. The Stamp Act was passed by the British Parliament on March 22, 1765.
