In the Colonies things were heating up between the Colonists and Great Britain. The Colonists were becoming very angry with the British. There were multiple events that led up to the American Revolutionary War. Two of the events where the Boston massacre and the Boston tea party. Some other events were the intolerable acts. In the American Revolutionary War there was an underdog, peptalk, trick play, turning point, winning strategy. Every single one of these has a crucial meaning.

The battle of Saratoga was considered the turning point because it got the French involved in the war. They became involved because they thought that the Americans could actually win with their help. It was also a surprising victory that kept the colonial army motivated to keep fighting. My great great great uncle Danielle Morgan was in charge of 500 sharpshooters at the battle of Saratoga. In the battle of Saratoga there was a large army of 8000 British troops who were determined to end the revolution. They came down from Canada and we're going to march down to New York to end the Revolutionary war. Daniel Morgan and his men started assassinating Indian scouts that we're on the British side. Once all the scouts were assassinated the British did not know the land. They also created roadblocks, what slow the British down to a mile per day. That made them sitting ducks for Morgans and his men. 500 sharpshooters were breaking the rules of war and using guerrilla warfare. The British were trained to fight in an open field but were not trained to fight in the woods. My great great great grandfather William hills was one of the American soldiers in the Battle of Yorktown. In the battle of Yorktown, Yorktown was where the British soldiers were coming in and out. George Washington lead his men in your town. The Americans took over Yorktown and the British surrendered to General George Washington. That was the end of the American revolutionary war. As you can see all of the events were extremely important in the American Revolutionary War. If it were not in all of these events, we would have lost the war and not has been independent today. The underdog was important because it was the fight that started the American Revolution. The pep talk from George Washington was what kept his men motivated to fight. The trick play is a good victory that helped win the war. If it was not in the battle of Trenton those soldiers could have murdered the Continental Army. The turning point was extremely important because it was a needed victory that got the French Involved in the war. It also saved the war because if the British would have gotten to New York it would have been over.
