Summer enjoyment means outdoor activities in sunny weather. Because hours in the sunshine are harsh on the eyes, there 's no question you should use sunglasses. But if your vision requires correction, using sunglasses gets complicated fast because there are so many ways of going about it. For example, you can wear sunglasses over regular glasses, sunglasses over contact lenses, clip-ons over glasses, or prescription sunglasses. How do you decide which is best for you? Three important considerations are that the method should protect your eyes from the sun, it shouldn 't make you uncomfortable, and it should be simple to use.

Another potential problem is extreme wind. Some summer activities such as motorcycling, bicycling, boating, and mountain climbing have significant wind exposure that will dry out the eyes.
