U.S. marshals were on his trail and McCall was arrested on August 29, 1876, in Laramie, where he was held before he was extracted to Yankton, South Dakota. The trial began on December 4, and it only took two days for jury to find McCall guilty. He was sentenced to death on January 3,

William B. Clark was one of the infamous Copperkings in Butte, Montana. As a matter of fact, Clark was the most powerful, and influential of them all. Even though today there is not much people who still remember him, he was one of the most important figures in the 19th century. He won fortune in Western Industry, achieved power in politics, and rose to fame as an art collector. Clark belonged to an age (1839-1925) when corruption, power, and money usually meant the same.
Bush Rangers Before becoming the notorious bushranger, he was best known for Fred Ward worked at Tocal. Fred was the youngest in his family out of 11 children, his mum and dad where Sophia and Michael ward. While working at Tocal Fred stayed at the overseer’s cottage which is why it is called thunderbolts cottage. Another notorious bush ranger known well to most Australians is ned Kelly, he was born December 1854 in Beveridge Victoria he came into a family with 11 siblings.
Although there have been many things I’ve heard about, this man this man has done great things in Arkansas .He has been there to help us through good times ,and bad time my person has helped us through I am going to be talking about is Douglas MacArthur. Here are a some facts and some reason why I pick this person and why he was such a great Arkansas hero. Douglas MacArthur was born on January 26, 1880 in Little Rock Arkansas. He was born to the parents of Captain Arthur MacArthur and his wife, Mary Pinkney Hardy, and he was the third son of the family. His dad was Arthur MacArthur had served in the Wisconsin Twenty-fourth Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the Civil War and was stationed at the Little Rock Barracks (“Spurgeon”).
During the American Civil War, General Ulysses S. Grant was a more successful general and was able to win many of the battles and was able to switch the War from Confederate dominance to Union dominance. Robert E. Lee was ranked 2nd in his class at Military college West Point in 1849. He had no demerits and was a very studious man. Not one to go to parties or to drink, while most did, including Future General Ulysses s. Grant. While Lee was studying and working hard to keep his grades up and learn as much possible, Grant would go out and drink at bars and have a fun time doing things he should not be doing.
On December 22, 1987, Ronald Gene Simmons started a killing spree. This was the worst mass murder in Arkansas history and the worst crime involving one family. Simmons rampage ended on December 28, 1987, leaving fourteen dead of his immediate family and two former coworkers. His mother was Loretta Simmons and father was William Simmons.
Born on November 10, 1846 in Lavaca County, Texas, David O. Dodd was an apart of the Arkansas youth during the American Civil War. He was executed on January 8, 1864 at the age of 17 for spying in the war. He was traveling Little Rock to deliver letters to some of his father’s business associates and then was to return to his family that were located in Camden, Arkansas. He entered Federally-owned area and was questioned because he did not have a pass. He was found carrying a notebook that had locations of the federal troops in the area.
Dick Butkus was born on December 9th, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. He weighed only thirteen pounds and six ounces. Out of the eight children in his family, he was the first to be born in a hospital. Don Butkus and Emma Butkus was his parents. They lived on the south side of the city, which meant that his family and him lived in a bad neighborhood.
Emmett Till was a young African American male, who was fatally beaten to death for a , now proven, false accusation. On August 21, 1955, Emmett Till went to stay with and visit his family members in Mississippi. Mississippi in the 1950’s was a very segregated state and followed the Jim Crow Laws. After an incident that occurred in the store with a White American woman, Emmett Till was kidnapped and murdered by the woman’s husband and half brother, August 24, 1955. On August 31, 1955, Emmett Till’s body was found beaten to where identification was hard from his mother was hard and a bullet hole in his head.
To Kill a Mockingbird Many people have been ridiculed because of their skin color. They have been given unfair trials throughout American history. Tom Robinson was accused of raping and beating a white woman. Everyone knew that she was lying, but the jury still came to the conclusion that Mr. Robinson was guilty because he was African American.
