The definition of murder is; the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another, so if the deceased wasn’t directly impacted by another human being would the death still be murder? The brother of William Armstrong can not be held accountable for his brothers death. Mr. Armstrong’s brother was a great encouragement to William. He always pushed him to go past his comfort zone. When William said “No, I can’t walk”, his brother told him “... yes you can Doodle, all you gotta do is try.” Brother’s continuous effort to get William on his feet even when he doubted himself showed how much he cared for him. Armstrong’s brother didn’t kill him, his condition played a bigger role in his death. The doctors never thought William would past birth they said, “The doctors said with his weak heart this would probably kill him.” Since he showed so much improvement learning how to do everyday tasks, running didn’t seem like such a big deal. I am Lauriel James, and I am here today to prosecute Adam Armstrong for the death of his brother William Armstrong also known by his nickname Doodle. I want to thank the judge and the jury today for their time and attention to this tragic case. In my opening statement I clarified that this is a case of involuntary manslaughter, and I know that the evidence presented in this court throughout this trial has proved that. As we all know on August 29th, 1918 the defendant and his brother William Armstrong affectionately known as Doodle were headed to Horsehead landing so that the defendant could give Doodle a swimming lesson.

In the short story, The Scarlet Ibis by James Hurst, The author uses figurative expressions and images to make clear the relationship between a handicapable kid and his brother. Brother is extremely cruel to Doodle but he still seems to love Brother notwithstanding this. Brother cruelly pushes Doodle beyond his limits because he is embarrassed by having a disabled brother and is only concerned about his own feelings. The reason Doodle loves brother is because, despite Brother's anger, Doodle wants to impress his brother, Doodle Looks up to his brother, and Doodle doesn't understand the way he was being treated.
And Then There Were None is about how ten people were invited to Soldier Island. The ten guests were Mr. Justice Wargrave, Vera Claythorne, Phillip Lombard, Miss Emily Brent, General Macarthur, Dr. Armstrong, Anthony Marston, Mr. Blore, and Mr. and Mrs. Rogers. The guests each got picked off one by one. The murder was the last to die, and killed itself so no evidence was left behind of their doing. The murder started off with Anthony, and continued on with the other guests as the days past bringing fear and madness into their minds.

The narrator (whose name is not known) inadvertently caused his brother Doodle’s death, when the narrator ran from Doodle in a rainstorm, even when Doodle called out to his brother and told him not to leave him. Doodle had a condition which caused him to be different from everyone else, and his brother helped him learn to walk, and tried to teach him other things, such as swimming. In this story the conflict of responsibility takes place. A brother, who happens to be the narrator, blames his self for the events that takes place in his life, such as his brother sonny’s crack addiction.
