The fear for lots of undocumented immigrants has arrived because this past election, people just started living in a great fear because they think that they could get deported. Some people have said that their lives have changed a lot, they feel unsure when they go work, when they’re walking in the streets… But this may or not could happen, because is not going to be the President 's decision only! On June 16, 2015, Donald Trump stepped on stage in Trump Tower in New York City and formally announced his plans to run for president. One of the largest focuses of his announcement speech centered on immigration, more specifically Mexican immigration. He made comments stating that Mexico is currently sending only sending the worst of its population such as rapist and drug dealers into the United States (Ye Hee Lee 2015). Trump is a recent example how the popular media influences the racial prejudice towards immigrants, however, this is not a recent development.

Donald Trump’s one very distinct “ability” is making a vast amount of people react to what he says. At the end of the day, what really matters is if his statements have, in fact, any effect on people’s votes. Immigration are people from all over the country who come here to have a better life & get better jobs so they can provide for their families. They move from one country to another one because life wasn’t easy in their country. Some come for a couple of years & then leave & some come to live here forever. If they stay forever they have to take a test to earn their citizenship. Luis Gutierrez,” and many more. This is merely one way to see what most people in America think about illegal immigration these days. The popular opinion is that illegal immigration is a terrible thing that hurts our economy because immigrants steal American jobs.
