Who Is Shakespeare William Shakespeare poet,playwright,and an actor.Shakespeare was born in 1564 in the small town of Stratford. As a middle class school boy, he went to Grammar School to learn latin. He then went to London to seek his fortune. “He was just one of country people who are leaving their family so they can make their dreams come true” (16). From there, it was a roller coaster ride. What did Shakespeare do In the late 1580s Shakespeare left London to seek his fortune.However,due to the plague he wasn't able to make plays for years because the playhouse was closed. “When the London playhouses reopened in 1594 after their long closure due to plague, Shakespeare joined a new company called the Lord Chamberlain’s Men. He wrote two plays a year and also worked as an actor. Many of his plays included Music,Dancing,Clothes, and Costumes. His plays also ended with tragedies,especially his plays that were set in ancient Rome. He also, wrote famous classics that are still being read today such as “Romeo and Juliet” “Hamlet”,and“Othello”.
