William Shakespeare died at age 52 of unknown causes, he lived a somewhat long and good life. Shakespeare was known for the literary masterpieces he made in what was believed to be his early thirties and late twenties. Shakespeare’s date of birth is not recorded but it is recorded that he was baptized on April 26, 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon which is a small town 100 miles away from London. He was born to John and Mary Shakespeare. Mary and John had eight children including Shakespeare. His father John was interested in leatherwork and had many other occupations but became a successful merchant, even though John was successful he fell into debt in what was believed to be the year 1580 but John and Mary were still able to raise their family …show more content…

William and Anne had 3 children, their eldest daughter Susan lived a long life her other sister Judith also lived a long life Judith had a twin brother named Hamnet, he was shakespeare's only son, Hamnet did not live a long life and died at age 11 from unknown causes. Susan was born in 1585 and the twins Hamnet and Judith were born seven months later than Susan in 1585. It is around the time of his children's births that there is absolutely no known evidence of seven years of Shakespeare's life this is what Scholars and most call “The lost years.” Even though there is no documented evidence of shakespeare's whereabouts during those seven years there are theories and educated guesses on where shakespeare went and what he did. Some scholars believe that he traveled as a teacher because he got an education and wanted to share his knowledge and spark the imagination of younger children to use their imaginations and write or express their imaginations and emotions. In 1594 Shakespeare began writing and acting with a group called “ Lord Chamberlain’s Men” thanks to this group Shakespeare began to realize how much he wanted to open his own theatre or playhouse. Shakespeare fulfilled the dream he had of opening his own theatre or playhouse and in 1599 The Globe Theatre was open and became one of the most famous places to watch plays in shakespeare's time. In 1596 Shakespeare had written his second tragedy “Romeo and Juliet” it was over the next few years the Shakespeare cranked out his most famous plays such as “Hamlet.” Shakespeare typically went with the two styles of comedy and tragedy but in his last few years of life he did write some strictly romantic plays such as “The Tempest.” These plays made shakespeare known and respected and many people love his plays and poems. Despite the fact that many people loved shakespeare, very few of Shakespeare's plays were actually published when he was alive or the plays were published individually which made it hard for people to collect and read all of the
