William Shakespeare
William Shakespeare is most famous for his plays. He had many amazing plays like Romeo and Juliet. Shakespeare wrote different genres of of plays such as tragedies and comedies. All of Shakespeare’s plays are quite popular and are studied. Shakespeare was born on April 23, 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon in the United Kingdom. He was the third child of John Shakespeare and Mary Arden. William had two older sisters, Joan and Judith, and three younger brothers by the names of Gilbirt, Richard, and Edmund. Shakespeare attended King’s New School in Stratford. At the age of 18, Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway, age 26, on November 28, 1582. On May 26, 1583, Shakespeare’s first child Susanna was born. After 1600, Shakespeare wrote tragedies including, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, King Lear, Othello, and Macbeth.
