Around 2012 the Brewery realized that its return on its assets did not reflect on the product that the company was selling nor did it reflect on the potential net profit of its market. Since then the Brewery’s marketing and advertising strategy has increased its profitability and surpassed its main competitor in the liquor industry in St. Vincent, Gonsalves Liquor. This was also partly due to the company attaining distributorship for Remy V.O.S.P and Gonsalves loosing distributorship of Corona.

The book “A History of the World in 6 Glasses” by Tom Standage was a interesting book and view in to the history of the alcoholic drinks that helped shaped the world as we know it. The first to chapters assigned were beer, wine, and spirits, where each chapter had information that grabbed the attention of the reader. In areas that grabbed my attention was the history of how beer was discovered, where wine was discovered to have purifying properties, and where spirits were associated with slavery. There were also parts of the three chapters where I thought the author could have added more even information.
“Food Inc.” is a documentary which uncovered the truth about food industries in America. With this method, it takes only 7 to 8 min to complete a sample analysis for the determination of ethanol content in a beverage sample. Analyst handling is minimized to prevent deviation in results or possible human error. This method requires a gas chromatograph and a digital integrator, both reasonably expensive and sophisticated pieces of equipment.
