Future me I truly hope you come to find this before they do….. This is our “note to self” Our name is Winston Smith. As I write this we are in profound unfathomable deep trouble. I have committed countless “crimes” in the country we call home, or at least that's what he would perpetuate it as. Thats right he, as in Big Brother. Doublethink. Having feelings.Thought crimes. The possession of illegal items. They've known that i've been up to these things, and they will soon come get me. I am scared. But beyond all of this let's get into the actual subject. The reason that I am writing to you. When and if you get ahold of this, we’ve probably somehow been brainwashed. Probably by the means of Room 101. I’m sure of it. You love Big Brother don’t you? You adore him. Worship him. You will do anything and everything for him. You will implement and fulfill the values of the Party. You will do as they say, won’t you? Let me tell you. This is all one big lie. Everything you have been fundamentally infiltrated with is a LIE. The infrastructure …show more content…
Have you ever stopped and wondered why they have you editing official documentations. Well of course you are, I mean we are one and the same. The true reason for this is simple. You and all your colleagues that are in charge of disrupting the truth are backing up the propaganda that is spread in the media. You're essentially altering history! You have been instructed to do so, so that everything will fit accordingly to how the Party wants it to be. From the smallest, seemingly irrelevant facts to big event in the past, all of it must be altered. Once this is done, they can spread their obscene lies about our country to glorify Big Brother as a leader which further strengthens his reign. As time goes by, his reign only grows stronger and the vision of the brainwashed people turns
The year is 1861. You are a young boy only 10 years of age, named Tommy, your parents both died from smallpox. Every day it goes threw your head why did I not get the virus and die with them? and now you face a new challenge, living on you own or going to a workhouse and work day in and day out and for what?
Welcome, Ladies and gentlemen, Gary, or Gary Dunn,to give him his Sunday name, or if he was in trouble, which was a lot, when he was younger, but most just called him Gary. Gary was a son, a brother, big and little, he was a boyfriend then a husband, a dad and a granddad too, but he was also a friend, and he was definitely a bit of a lad. Gary had been many different things to many different people over the years, but today they all have, at least, one thing in common, they will all miss him very much. Gary was a real character, what you saw, with Gary, was what you got, and if you didn’t like it, well, tough, but he was also a loving family man, a dependable man, and a hard working man too, he would never do you a bad turn, but don’t hold your breath waiting for
POV: SteveI never seen Sodapop look so...gloomy. He was always the happier one of the bunch, but ever since our gang has fallen...with deaths. First it was Johnny and Dally, then Darry and Ponyboy. His own brothers. Two-Bit was off somewhere with his children.
Ahh, I need better work! Phillip Jones is so lousy! He always is using the eraser on the other end of his pencil! I am so much better than that tiny thing! It is just un...be...lievable!
“I know that in writing the following pages I am divulging the great secret of my life, the secret which for some years I have guarded far more carefully than any of my earthly possessions; and it is a curious study to me to analyze the motives which prompt me to do it. I feel that I am led by the same impulse which forces the un-found-out criminal to take somebody into his confidence, although he knows that the act is likely, even almost certain, to lead to his undoing. I know that I am playing with fire, and I feel the thrill which accompanies that most fascinating pastime; and, back of it all, I think I find a sort of savage and diabolical desire to gather up all the little tragedies of my life, and turn them into a practical joke on society”
Hell isn’t all they crack it up to be, honestly. In the stories, it’s all fire, hopeless souls hopelessly screaming, endless pain. I mean, yeah, there’s fire. Lots of it.
For a brief moment, miles away from the eyes of god, time itself stood still. And the singing birds went silent in their canopies, and the gentle licks of a passing breeze abated, as if the entire world, save Gatsby, knew. Knew that, like an old timepiece, the gears within the depths of George Wilson’s being had long since begun to fragment, and with the urgency of newfound knowledge, he had only one thought on his mind. Certainly, as he glided towards Gatsby’s mansion—and ultimately, into the foliage that surrounded it— Wilson’s breathing was neither slow nor rapid, nor shallow nor heavy, but rather, it fluctuated with an unrelenting attitude, and trapped between immense grief and rage, he carried himself dangerously with each step.
Orwell states “Who controls the present controls the past. And yet the past, though of its nature alterable, never had been altered. Whatever was true now was true from everlasting to everlasting. It was quite simple. All that needed was an unending series of victorious over your own memory ‘reality control’ they called it; in Newspeak doublethink” (34), which reveals that the government basically brainwashed the citizens by changing the truth of what they know to what the governments wanted them to to know.
To describe the life of a man so complex is no easy task. A man who had a tough persona, yet was still one of the most loving people you’ll ever meet. Someone who travelled constantly, yet was extremely dedicated to his family. A man who endured more than his fair share of struggles, but always kept a positive attitude, and had a work ethic that was second to none. Someone who always followed his passions and goals to a degree that words could never describe.

With all of the movement going on around her, Becca fell into an unconscious state once more, praying for this twisted nightmare to end. ____________________________ “Hey guys, the line for this place is crazy and—ugh, did someone just puke here?” Russ wrinkled his nose, hanging up his phone and grimaced. It was always the idiotic drunkards who would drink in the morning. He stepped over the vomit to get to the cafe to meet his friends, before noticing a small movement inside the puddle.

Winston in the coming future, consider this as a memorandum for yourself. Before anyone else finds it and reads it, I hope you do. We share a common name: Winston Smith. As I progress with this entry, I am getting more prone to danger second by second. This is because, according to “his” beliefs, I have committed several crimes likes Doublethink, ownership of illegal items, Thoughtcrime and the mere fact of having feelings.
