Future me I truly hope you come to find this before they do….. This is our “note to self” Our name is Winston Smith. As I write this we are in profound unfathomable deep trouble. I have committed countless “crimes” in the country we call home, or at least that's what he would perpetuate it as. Thats right he, as in Big Brother. Doublethink. Having feelings.Thought crimes. The possession of illegal items. They've known that i've been up to these things, and they will soon come get me. I am scared. But beyond all of this let's get into the actual subject. The reason that I am writing to you. When and if you get ahold of this, we’ve probably somehow been brainwashed. Probably by the means of Room 101. I’m sure of it. You love Big Brother don’t you? You adore him. Worship him. You will do anything and everything for him. You will implement and fulfill the values of the Party. You will do as they say, won’t you? Let me tell you. Have you ever stopped and wondered why they have you editing official documentations. Well of course you are, I mean we are one and the same. The true reason for this is simple. You and all your colleagues that are in charge of disrupting the truth are backing up the propaganda that is spread in the media. You're essentially altering history! You have been instructed to do so, so that everything will fit accordingly to how the Party wants it to be. From the smallest, seemingly irrelevant facts to big event in the past, all of it must be altered. Once this is done, they can spread their obscene lies about our country to glorify Big Brother as a leader which further strengthens his reign.
