Saudi Arabia is a very hot country and the whole reason behind this are the seasons (and the equator as well but that 's not the point!), now then the seasons are considered the divisions of the year and they are 4 the First one being spring which is the season where the plants and vegetation start growing and at this time the weather is considered warm and wet it 's the best time for the plants since they can get nutrients and begin growing but not yet flourishing its this time of year where people are able to get used to the climate of this season without much problem and that 's the case in Saudi Arabia since the spring is not of the prominent and longest lasting season in Saudi Arabia so it 's really considered a change of pace more than …show more content…
In Saudi Arabia winter is really different than that of America or anyplace that has snow or ice in the winter in fact in Saudi Arabia the winter is actually really cold air without wind which basically makes it literally chilly to the bone so when comparing it to the summer solstice in the graph you can see that the winter solstice actually has a lot less hours in the day but has a lot more hours at night, the winter solstice has the shortest day while the two equinoxes take the middle spot leaving the summer solstice to take the first spot. the sad thing is that in Saudi Arabia winter is really the best time to walk and its actually the time where we leave our houses early in the morning but since the winter solstice has a very short day it doesn’t really give us as much time to fulfill our activities that are really mostly unique to our culture and is best performed when things start taking a shift for the better basically when things become colder and these types of activities such as going to the desert, fishing and even horse riding. these type of activities depend a lot and i mean a lot on the weather in fact if the weather was even predicted that it might not be good in that particular day then these activities can and will most likely be cancelled but the desert one might get a free …show more content…
One of the first and most famous effects of the moon to the earth is that the moons presence controls the gravity of the oceans in the sea and as you know the earth is composed of 70% water and by these statistics it would imply that the moons gravity truly has an insurmountable effect on the earth since if the moon would disappear then the oceans would spiral out of control in fact it wouldn’t just be out of control it would literally start going upwards to the air and that would leave the earth in the worst situation possible but to our surprise the moon has much more to show us in fact the second thing that the moon has some form of control
Fall, taking place in September and October, is a bit cooler than summer, and is the perfect season for hiking, golfing, and camping in the National Parks. COFO organized a project called Freedom Summer ( Summer of Freedom ) which sought to register blacks to vote in Mississippi , one of the most oppressive state for African American citizens. Hundreds of civil rights activists , white and colored , traveled to Mississippi to participate in the project. The project received mixed reactions: thousands of black enthusiastically registered to vote, while local whites reacted with great resistance , generating violence against citizens of color throughout the state. Those who fought against all forms of that system experienced severe repression - in Mississippi in the early 1960s, to participate in this struggle were given brutal beatings, put in jail, those expelled from their work and home and
In winter you can go ice fishing. You can do other things in winter too. Kids and adults go up north to ski and sled. You can have a party in a cabin after you go sledding.
The Wahhabi and Salafist movements have become increasingly influential throughout the Middle East and the world. They have been an integral part of the dynamic religious conflict in the Middle East and have helped propagate the current terrorist movements throughout the world. To understand what makes these movements so popular, we must revisit the roots of Wahhabism and Salafism and their similarities and differences. Wahhabism was founded by Mohammed Ibn Abd al-Wahhab in the eighteenth century. Wahhabism “stresses the absolute sovereignty of God.”

Freedom Summer, by author Bruce Watson examines the courageous and passionate efforts of roughly 100 predominantly white college students as well as several local black Mississippi residents who stood up for change and equality while pushing the limit of uncertain futures. The book discusses the journey these students encountered in order to reach their aim of voter equality and opportunity for blacks in the south. The objective of these students was to create a voter registration system in the heart of segregated and unjust Mississippi. In 1964, they did just that. This “Mississippi Project” as it was sometimes called was run by local civil rights group council in the state known as the Council of Federated Organizations (COFO).

From our notably harsh winters, to the beautiful forests and parks, nature is practically synonymous with Canada. To begin with are the four seasons themselves. Sometimes it is easy to forget that not everywhere experiences the seasons the same as in Canada, especially considering how important the seasons are to us. Even since the first settlers arrived in Canada, life was centered around stockpiling as many resources as possible before heading into the winter.
In All Summer in a Day, Ray Bradbury uses symbolism, similes and plenty of vivid description to show the hope the children have for a brighter future and their need for change. First of all the author uses the rain to symbolize many things, while at the same time dreaming is used to symbolize hope, and the sun is a symbol portraying each child’s bright future. Similes are also extremely important as they show the desperate hope and need for a bright future. Furthermore with these types of author's craft Ray Bradbury uses repetition. However it does not go along with hope as well as the other pieces of author’s craft that have been mentioned previously.

“Before Freedom Summer and the changes it jump-started, Mississippi was a place where a black body floating in a muddy river was as common as a snake.” (Pg. 10) Freedom Summer embodied the spirt of change; change that needed to take place, not in Mississippi alone, but in all of America! Blacks were terrorized and taught to “stay in their place” for far too long, which deprived them of actual life as America’s concerns focused on an “unbearable whiteness of being.” (Pg 5) Had Freedom Summer not have occurred, we would still be lost as a society focusing on color and differences rather than decency and brotherhood of all people.
