In ancient times, men and women are unequal or that women are inferior to men in every aspect is historically a common phenomenon. There was no equality in the rights given to men and women. It exists in many cultures and in many countries and this phenomenon has continued for a long time. Everything will be given priority to men to get and to fight for. We can see this from the aspect of receiving an education. In the past time, women are not allowed to study. Education is always a priority for men and women are hard to get an education. They can only receive the primary education at most, then they must stay at home to learn how to become a virtuous woman. Ancient people believed that women should be at home and learn how to do housework, tailoring and so on. When they reached at the right age to get married, they should marry. They should have children and be a good wife and mother at home. They think that this is the woman’s duty. In contrast, men have very different treatment in this regard. They think that men need to go out to work to earn money to support their families, so they need higher education.
