The topic of leadership and gender role has been topic of controversy. Some people think leadership means guiding others to complete a specific task, while others believe it means spurring the colleagues of your team to be their best selves. In general leader ship can be defined as people who can support to achieve goals, accomplishments and inspire people along the way. The question here is “Do women have the ability to be better leaders?” Some arguments do not approve women as a leader, but women can approach to leadership easily for the following reasons, they are better communicators, Multi taskers and patient leaders.
Opponents claim that women are not capable enough for leadership, for the sake of her emotional issues. Women sound more emotional and passionate because they use approximately five tones when they are speaking. (Goman,C. 2012) They express their emotions with hand gestures that rise above their shoulders, which can quickly overwhelm an audience. These three were the iconic women worked at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, also known to others as NASA, to successfully launch the first American into space. As women’s positions in leadership continue to grow in our world, I find that my interest and confidence in taking on leadership positions in and out of school has grown as well. In school, I have become more involved in being a leader in different organizations. From being Vice President of the Literati and captain of the Girl’s Soccer team there are so many different ways to be a leader. Being a leader in these organizations allows me to share my passions with others, and inspire them to do more.
