Good morning, today I will be talking to you about my time out on work experience. For work experience I went to Aurecon Australia as a mechanical engineer. Aurecon is a engineering consultants formed in 2009. It provides engineering and management services for public and private sectors. Aurecon provides these services in four of the main types of engineering; Mechanical, structural, electrical and civil

For my work experience i went as a mechanical engineer. Mechanical engineers are responsible mainly for the designs of anything that is generally moving or will be moving, hence the name mechanical. Although I went as a mechanical engineer I did manage to spend quite a amount of time with people from the different disciplines of engineering. For example i spent quite a lot of time with simon who was a civil engineer as well as time with marik, the structural engineer, mike ,the electrical engineer and miko who showed me what he does as a mechanical engineer. …show more content…

However I did make the most of what I had, spending a lot of time with the people that were not apart of the training as well as the people that were no engineers, such as the GSI people. My main task at aurecon was drafting using cad programs. Whilst there i managed to draft a conveyor belt system As well as many other smaller projects that took up my unused time.
