Today, I got the honor of going with Julie to deliver flowers to a resident named Sandra for her birthday. She didn’t want the flowers in her room and she didn’t seem pleased. I also got to participate in one of the daily activities. Today the activity was making peanut butter and jelly sandwich spiders with pretzel legs and chocolate chip eyes. Julie, Laurie and I went around to each housing unit and made the spiders for the residents. Julie cut the bread, Laurie peanut buttered one side, I jellied one side, and then we all stuck the legs and eyes on. Not everyone has to participate, or eat the spider. That’s up to them. So I was able to have conversations with the people that wanted one, and were at the table in the dining room interested
