(c)(i) The World Heritage Species concept is purposed in protecting, identifying, protecting, conserving and preserving species of the world that play significant roles in natural and cultural heritage, for future generations.
This evokes the principle of sustainable development. This principle is the utilization of what it needed by the present generation without compromising the possibility for future generations to do the same. In regulating the management of these species is provides an avenue for the species to survive for many years.
The concept uses various existing international treaties to implement its objective, like Convention on Migratory Species which protects various migratory species like the mountain gorillas in Appendix

The World Heritage convention is contributing significantly to preservation and conservation and this concept annexed to it does the same by protecting species that have substantial value to humans and the environment as a whole. Apes like the Chimpanzees and Bonobos for example are the closely related genetically to humans and because of this have extensive scientific worth. This point of view has been established multiple time in the convention but notably in Article 2 where it providing particularly for ‘physical and biological formations or groups’ considered to be of outstanding universal value of natural heritage when view from an ‘aesthetic or scientific point of view’.
Moreover, the World Heritage species effectively utilize international law that like CITES as a means of protecting the species. Although there are conventions that are in place that address the issue and importance of protecting and preserving endangered species, there are still some species that are faced with extinction like the great ape or panda. The project provides these species with an additional stance for protection in an effort to sustain the life of the
The article “whose culture is it?” written by Kwame Anthony Appiah published in 2012, contains factual and suggestive content towards the preservation and importance of historical antiquities. The author discusses the positioning of cultural antiquities based on the ability of civilizations to preserve them. As examples were revealed, various acts have been taken accordingly; to legally provide the antiquities the safest solutions to preserve them. Furthermore, Appiah also discusses that some artifacts that belong to the artist, or contributors should be considered as universal art. He also questions some of the decisions taken by UNESCO, if they were truly for the betterment of the antiquities.
Changing Our Outlook of Animals During the Period of 1800 to 1910 Short Essay Concerning the period of 1800 to 1910, many movements were formed addressing the lives and suffering of animals. Such movements granted better welfare for animals as well as a sentient outlook towards them. Animal protectionists in the nineteenth century worked to create legislation that granted animals immediate legal protections, as well as large-scale public education efforts to explain the harm of cruelty to animals in terms of the animals’ suffering[1]. As stated by Pearson in the Cow and the Plow, animal suffering was simply one of many potential definitions of cruelty’s damages, and when judges and other legal interpreters read animal protection statutes,

The illegal hunting and trade of primate meat is a large contributing factor to the decline of primate species in the tropics. This, in addition to habitat loss and fragmentation, disease, and the pet trade, is putting many primate species at high risk of extinction. Poverty, population growth, construction of roads, emergence of regional and international markets, and new hunting technology are triggering the increased hunting pressure on forest mammals. Primate species are especially vulnerable to increased hunting pressure because of their slower reproductive cycles. The decline of primate species must be stopped to avoid their extinction and the potential consequences that this could have for tropical forests.
Now, may I ask you something? Have you ever seen a primate wandering in its own habitat peacefully? I bet the answer would be no. In this era of globalisation, many forests have been cut down, both legally and illegally, in the name of development. Yet, what we seem to not acknowledge is the fact that the very forests that have been destroyed to pamper our endless lust to materialistic luxuries is also home to many endangered primates.
As more and more humans occupy the red panda’s territory more threats appear such as more illegal hunting, dogs, and loss of bamboo. People also poach and capture red pandas for illegal trade. Whether the trade is in meat, pelts or animal trafficking these things harm the ability of the red panda to survive in their natural habitat. Even today very little is done to better enforce the laws that could make an impact on the survival of the red panda. Also because the red panda has a picky digestive system they are unable to adapt to loss of bamboo in the ever-changing landscape of their specialized
Have you ever heard the deafening trumpet of an elephant or witnessed the quick and sudden turns of a cheetah? These natural wonders are merely a fraction of the countless species that compose the complex web of life on Earth. However, the continued presence of these creatures is becoming increasingly jeopardized, as human activities like habitat destruction and poaching are carried out. Enter the wildlife protection community, a network of passionate individuals who devote their efforts to preserving endangered species and their associated habitats. The wildlife protection community is a committed group of individuals who recognize the importance of conserving these creatures and their natural surroundings in order to maintain biodiversity,
Their characteristics of being protective when they feel threatens become a reason that people think they are wild and meant to be shot. People are taking their habitats, shrinking their land to a smaller portion, just for building agriculture fields, industrial places and roads. It is not fair for wildlife. Fortunately, some people start to care about those animals, meanwhile a number of agencies held in order to protect them. More people should be aware of that each variety of animal is a crucial role in the balance of the
A current issue that affects today’s government is the possession of exotic animals. People should not be allowed to keep exotic animals. The possession of exotic animals threaten the public’s health and sometimes it threatens the animal’s health. The reason why exotic animals Exotic animals attack, spread disease, and an average owner cannot take care of an exotic animal. The first reason exotic animals should not be to kept is because they maim and kill.
This exposure and education motivate people to protect the animals and provide entertainment. Zoos save endangered species by bringing them into a safe environment, where they are protected from poachers, habitat loss, starvation, and predators. “The Arabian Oryx was hunted to extinction in the wild. However, from just a handful of animals in captivity the species was brought back from the brink thanks the conservation efforts of Phoenix Zoo and others.
Moreover, zoos always respond to emergencies, such as deadly threats to one or another species, by providing specialists and establishing breeding and treatment programs (Borrell 9). Thereby, both articles express the opinion that zoos are important for conservation purposes as they provide a wide range of specialists and research data. More significantly, they react on emergencies and do their best to protect endangered
Zoos may be very necessary for endangered species. But, there are different ways how to save and continue endangered species, and every zoo have had choice how they do it. Some zoos are breeding endangered species trying to continue the species, but that is not right, because it leads to very complicated health issues. For example white tiger who are very rare animal, breeding requirements are that all white tigers parents must be white tigers too, to get only white tiger, and so are zoos breeding white tigers fathers with their daughters and mothers with their sons. But some zoos again are preserving and studying endangered species in captivity to save endangered species in the wild.
There are more than 7,500,000,000 Billion humans on earth. And Two-Thirds of the animal species are being wiped out. IN the past 2 or 3 years 100,000 elephants had been killed, numerous species with once robust populations now condensed to a few thousand, a few hundred or even
I looked up why most of them are going are going endangered. I found out that mostly Monkeys/apes/gorillas, rhinos, elephants, big cats, bears, penguins, whales, cold blooded & other ocean animals, canines, birds, and turtles. These are the most endangered groups. I’ll start off with the elephants. Elephant tusks are made out of ivory which is used for several things in China.
Animals such as the Tiger, Pandas and African Chimpanzees are kept inside zoos in order to preserve their species and prevent them from going extinct. They are well protected from their predators which allows them to breed and, hopefully, repopulate their species in order to keep their species alive. One of the examples is that zoos implemented International Breeding Programs in order to help these endangered species breed. As the numbers of that
