This paper traces an extremely disparate periods in Narayan’s occupation that starts alongside ‘Talkative Man’ (1986) and wretchedly ends alongside this last novel, ‘The World of Nagaraj’ (1990). Living in his relations house alongside his wife Sita, Nagaraj fills his dates drinking coffee, acting odd jobs and arranging the book he aims to comprise concerning the sage Narada.
