World War One had many legacies after it ended. A legacy that the war left was power and authority in different countries effect after the war. The powers were the Nazis in Germany, the fascist in Italy,and the Bolsheviks in Russia. After the war many people were looking for hope,which made them join groups to make them feels apart of something.
In Germany Adolf Hitler had created the Nazi party of the ideas that the Germans had been cheated out of world war one. Hitler states “Never in history has the confidence of a people been more shamefully betrayed, than it was then.”(doc D) . This statement show how Hitler played on the emotions of the Germans after the war to get citizens in Germany to join the Nazi Party. Albert Einstein sent to a letter to President Roosevelt about the use Uranium in the making of bombs. Einstein explains how “A single bomb of this type, carried by boat and exploded in a port, might very well destroy the whole port together with some of the surrounding territory” (doc H). Einstein is trying to make America be the best they can be if a war is to come. America was also shipping out massive amounts of goods to Britain to help fight and against Germany and the Axis powers. This large amount of exporting good is due to a conference in Berlin by the Axis powers stating “if the United States of America interfered with or blocked the expansion program of these three nations- a program aimed at world control—they would unite in ultimate action against the United States.” (doc K). Roosevelt used this conference to uniting America into making goods for the British. Roosevelt exclaimed in his Fireside chats to America that “We must be the great arsenal of democracy”(doc K).
