Perhaps the opposite of Mitchell Sanders, Henry Dobbins is a straightforward character at first glance; O’Brien instantly characterizes him as a big man who likes to eat. O’Brien comments that Dobbins is a machine gunner strictly for his weight, which implies that Dobbins was big before coming to Vietnam. However, there is a possibility that Dobbins maintains his weight for a strategic reason. He isn’t able to fit in the underground tunnels and is therefore exempted from even the draw for the mission. Dobbins still treats himself to canned peaches in syrup over pound cake and even consumes a tropical chocolate bar while Lee Strunk is in the tunnel.

One example of this is the phrase “Suffer not yourselves be betrayed with a kiss”, by this he meant that he hoped that his American comrades would not be fooled by the British and their false promises. The story, Harrison Bergeron really shows the importance of diversity and for every individual to have a right to be unique. The government trying to make every thing completely fair is actually unfair to people who can 't get any excitement in a world like this. Limiting peoples thinking will also strongly slow any advances in technology, maybe even to a stop, so they might never solve some of the very important problems they face. Same with strength, if someones is in danger to an animal or a malfunctioning machine they will need to be able to escape. So really a world thats completely fair is impossible to create.
The stockings are from his girlfriend/ex girlfriend. In William Shakespeare’s Henry V, the character of King Henry delivers some powerful verbiage, known as St. Crispin’s Day Speech, to his troops in order to rally the men for battle. In this speech, King Henry chooses to invoke themes such as glory, religion, and comradery to make the battle they are about to fight immortal in the soldiers’ minds and to motivate them to fight together. These themes draw similar emotions in all men, no matter their background; all men have the need for honour, the urge to please the deity they believe in, and the need to trust in their fellow men. Every man wants his story to be remembered.
