Both colleges, Ohio Northern University and the University of Findlay, have a small campus and class size. At ONU, the average freshman class size is about nineteen students and the student to teacher ratio is 11:1 (“University Facts”). The small class sizes are extremely valuable because I know that I will not be a lost voice in a class of 200. That ensures me the chance to have my questions explained and answered. At the University of Findlay, the student to teacher ratio is 16:1 (“Fast Facts”).
is a 4 year university and veterinary college in Stillwater, Oklahoma. In-state tuition is $8,321 and cost of attendance is around $21,921. For some this can be difficult to meet, however it’s not an impossible hurdle to face, 89% of students at OSU receive financial aid, 82% receive grant aid; and 42% take out student loans. (source)
Attending a two-year college can save money, and it will give the student a faster time to start their career with little or no debt. Additionally, it serves as a starting point to earn credits towards a degree at a four-year college. Also, a two-year is convenient for commuters or for students seeking affordable campus housing. According to the College Board, the cost of tuition at a two-year college is $3,131 which is one-third of the cost of a public university such as Maryland. Also, most students who attend a two-year use those years as a transition to get ready for the long four years at a big or small public university (Couch).
The tuition at Hampton University for an entire year is $23,992. It is so much more expensive to attend HU because of it being a four year college as well as the many things this university can offer compared to RBC. Although, both colleges differ in prices, both of them for an entire year are almost similar in cost. Another factor that these two colleges differ in is the number of dorms that are available for on-campus students. Hampton University has 22 dorms in total, 8 being dorms for males and 14 being dorms for female students while Richard Bland has two dorms for male and female
Ronald Nelson, who also got into all eight Ivy League universities, rejected all the offers and chose the University of Alabama (Jacobs). This must be a surprising fact since Ivy League schools have been considered as the most outstanding schools since 1954, when the term ‘Ivy League’ was established (‘Ivy League’). Ivy League schools are the 8 prestigious schools in Northeastern United States which are Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University. For more than 50 years, they maintained their reputation of academic excellence, selective admissions, and social elitism (‘Ivy League’). Currently they were all placed in top 16 of the US Best Colleges rankings (‘National University Rankings | Top National Universities | US News Best Colleges’) and placed in top 50 of QS World University Rankings (‘QS World University Rankings 2013’).
Wrestling vs Not Wrestling (In College) The opportunities are plentiful and the rewards are generous. College, it’s a time for young adults to go off and try new things, grow as their own selves and pave their own path. There are an abundance of people who go off to college and participate in athletics, for myself this is an option. Wrestling is my sport, it’s all I know besides cattle, and it’s playing a major role in an extremely important life choice. Or is one better off sticking to school itself?
The amount of time the athletes put in in a week of practices is a lot of time out of the student 's day. Division I players on average spend 44.8 hours a week on their sport — playing games, practicing, training and less than 40 hours of their time in spent in the actual classroom. That amount of time is the equivalent to working a full time job. This shows how even though they’re not getting paid they’re working as much to someone who is
Mike: Going to College straight out of high school is the best way to go, because it gives your life a huge jumpstart to a future career. Workers with a Bachelor 's degree earned an average of $464 per week more than workers with only a high school diploma. (Brady) Just 2.7% of workers with a Bachelor’s degree are facing unemployment, compared to the 5.2% of workers with only a high school diploma. (Brady) Seventy-seven percent of workers with a postgraduate degree and 60% of workers with a Bachelor’s degree believe their job gives them a sense of identity, versus just 38% of those with a high school diploma. (Brady) Going to College is so beneficial to your future life, that you wouldn’t want to miss the opportunity to miss this valuable option.
With the increasing cost of attending a traditional four year college or university can leave a student with a large debt. In an article the U.S News and World Report said “ that the average debt a medical graduate carried was just over $145,000” (Severson 1). Scholarships rarely cover the costs associated with specialized degrees, especially, when looking at something in the medical field. Yet, the junior college or technical school two year program associate’s degree or certificate program allows students to graduate with little or no debt. Getting into the workforce after two years with the possibility of making up to $60,000 appeals to many who are wanting to pursue some form of medical education.
A four year college education, otherwise called a baccalaureate degree, regularly requires four years of full-time study. Four year college educations are accessible in an extensive variety of scholastic fields. A four year college education shows an understudy has a general and wide instruction with an emphasis on a particular subject. The major commonly contains 25 percent or to a greater degree a four year college education's aggregate credits. In 2012 33% of Americans from 25 to 29 years old earned no less than a four year certification.

The county seat can be found in Ellensburg, the county’s largest town. Ellensburg has a population of 18,174 including more than 9,000 students attending Central Washington University (Read, 2012). With its small towns scattered throughout, Kittitas County looks vastly different from the counties that house the state’s bigger cities of Seattle, Tacoma, and Spokane, but more closely resembles the demographics of the bulk of the state. Mainly bucolic, 44% of the county’s people live in unincorporated areas relative to the
