These five tasks, in their development stage provided different levels of difficulty. Surprisingly, I found writing the economics and business activity the easier of the tasks to write up, part of the reason for this is because I thought about an activity that would not only, assist me in learning about those concepts but that would also keep me interested. The rest of the activities developed quickly in my mind and I think that is largely because I have a ‘humanities’ brain and these activities reminded me of the tasks I participated in at school myself. The integrated history and geography activity proved to be the most difficult, I knew I wanted to have an activity directly related to the Cross Curricular Priorities, more specifically Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander peoples but developing an activity surrounding this was almost like adding extra pressure. As a future teacher you want to improve the way history and societal views of Aboriginal and Torres Strait islanders is being taught, to provide a better foundation of study for students. With this in mind creating an activity that did this and was in line with curriculum knowledge and skills was a challenging task and I realized that this
Would income from the business be taxable under the Internal Revenue Code if Ohio authorizes cannabis sales but federal law still criminalizes it?
Base on the role of a MA until provider is able to treat/assess a patient I should help maintain a smooth-running emergency. I would assist by taking vital signs, maintain medical histories and prepare patients to see doctors, I would observe the patient and make them feel as comferable as possable.Make sure nothing is getting wrose and keeping the patient clam (Emergency Room Medical Assistant: Educational
In today’s healthcare setting there is a false belief that care for the patient ends once discharge occurs. From the moment the client is admitted into the healthcare facility our main focus as a unit is to make sure that the patient is alleviated of their acute episode of illness and discharged back home. As healthcare providers it is our responsibility to ensure that the patient has the smoothest transition from hospital to home also known as transitional care. According to the American Geriatrics Society (2003) transitional care is defined as a set of actions designed to ensure the coordination and continuity of health care as patients transfer between different locations or different levels of care within the same location. The transitional
Is the physician assistant (PA) profession shifting away from its origins? At the beginning of the PA profession, the majority of PAs worked in primary care to ameliorate the shortage family medicine clinicians. However, in actuality, only one-third of PAs work in primary care while the vast majority has transferred to specialty practice (Bodenheimer & Cramback, 2009). Furthermore, the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), has introduced specialty certification programs which could further change the original purpose of the PA occupation. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the goal of the NCCPA specialty certification program, its advantages, and disadvantages.
Being a parent of a child with chronic issues I feel I have an added insight to many medical and emotional situations. Direct patient contact and being in charge of the direction of my patient’s care why I want to be a FNP and not a PA. As a FNP I would like to be involved in the community based services like the county health department, healthy start and BCMH because these programs helped me when I was a scared, uncertain parent. Educating patients about community services is vital to patient care. Every situation will be different but just being a person in a similar situation I know that many things can be achieved and things are not
Hope you had a wonderful New Year. I want to thank you once again for giving the opportunity to interview at St. Joseph’s Family Medicine Residency Program on September 29, 2015. I enjoyed my interview at your program and meeting with the faculty and residents. Also, I appreciate you taking your time to give me a follow-up call last week.
A family nurse practitioner (FNP) is a member of the health care team who provides quality and cost-effective care to patients across the lifespan, from newborn to old age. They provide care in various healthcare settings such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, community health centers and public health departments. They focus on disease prevention, health and wellness promotion. The FNP empowers patients through patient education and partnerships in clinical treatment decisions (Hamric, 2014; “Nurse Practitioner,” 2014). How does one become an effective Family Nurse Practitioner?

A disaster affects both the survivors of and the responders to the events as well as posing long-term psychological effects to both the survivors and responders. When people think of accidents and misfortune they tend to think of the person being saved, not the person doing the saving. However, responders tend to face more horrific trauma than any other profession or the average person so ensuring that they have the most advanced training to respond to situations is ideal. “The hardest calls to respond to are the ones involving children. Every time we get a call about a kid being hurt I picture my son. I respond to every call like it’s my baby that’s hurt.” (Lucas).
What is the difference between emergency services and critical care? Give examples of each. How do you code when critical care services are provided during an emergency department encounter?
My provider was extremely helpful, professional, and caring throughout my visit to the family practice clinic. He took the time to listen to my concerns, offered compassionate advice appropriate to my situation, and conducted a thorough evaluation as part of the outstanding care he provided. My provider is an excellent clinician who truly cares about his patients and went the extra mile to assist with the necessary referrals. I believe the exemplary care I received from my provider is a testament to his integrity, character, and leadership. I hope that my provider is recognized with accolades for his above-and-beyond clinical care, skills, and attitude. Please share my comments with my provider so he knows how grateful I am and what a rare
